This is one of the worst posts I've seen in a long time. There's a massive difference in pure wrestling and applying those skills in a fight. The range is different and there's a bunch of stuff you have to watch for and factor in for a MMA fight you don't have to do for a wrestling match. Not to mention that the match you keep referring to is what, fifteen years old? It's even dumber than saying Chonan would beat Silva today because he did it ten years ago. At least that's the same sport.

Wrestling IS wrestling, it's not a totally different style just cause its part of mma.

Of course some elements are more important in mma than in pure wrestling, but the core of wrestling is the same, control n td.

Do you think a Olympic wrestler would be at the same lvl as a beginner in "mma wrestling"? Hey it's a totally different sport right?

Like I said the only difference is in mma fighters versatility can hide his weaknesses.
