I think Conor had prepared months and months to avoid getting taken down. Plus he cheated so much, grabbing his shorts, kicking groin, kneeing downed opponent etc. Hand on my heart I have never seen anybody cheat as much as Conor did against Khabib. Never, plus the ref was a complete disgrace.
And I think Khabib was emotionally involved he just wanted to smash and humiliate him. Which he did.

Herb Dean is 100% a paid off shill. Those were already established rumors before Khabib whooped Conor's ass down good, but that particular fight exposed that, front and center, hand over fist. I can't believe more people at the top, like the commissions didn't take notice to that. They're probably paid off too. I bet any money on it, Herb will be the ref for the Poirier fight and if Khabib ever fights him again. I'd bet a lot of money on that.

The embarrassing part for Conor was that he cheated his ass off and it still didn't matter, Khabib still beat his ass like he stole something.

Conor had obviously a very bad camp leading into that fight. He looked awful. I wonder how things would have played out if it was Aldo that night against him. Mendes did give him real trouble, but props to McGregor for coming away with a great win.

conor winning a round is a stretch, he did fuck all and fouled left and right.

conor also knew exactly what khabib was going to do and had ample time to prepare.
chad was at a disadvantage as far as time to train, but conor thought he was fighting a striker up until 2 weeks before.

It's telling that Conor immediately wanted a rematch with Khabib but never mentioned Chad again.
Chad is the far more dangerous opponent.

It's almost he wanted to rematch the guy who beat the shit out of him and made him tap and not the guy he knocked out in 7 minutes or so. Clearly the guy who landed more strikes, dropped him, and finished him is not dangerous...

There's some sarcasm to the OP's post but some is true. Especially the part about Conor's ring rust. He should have taken a tune-up fight before fighting Khabib.
