The people who built the LHC seem to be screwing with everyone, either as a purpose or just for fun. Its more than just the Shiva statue which is the destroyer of worlds. Destruction is tied to nuclear physics. It is the most destructive thing man has created so far. Why even inject any kind of religious/spiritual imagery into it at all? There is no place for it in science.
