But which celebrity dick you seen?
Pete Rose was doing a signing at his restaurant but would only sign stuff that you bought from the gift shop.
We ended up stealing some shirts and had the asshole sign them.
i dont know who that is, part of the JRE crew? I dont remember Joe walking in with anyone other than Eddie Bravo. This was at a jiu jitsu tournament in Houston, they announced it on the loudspeaker "UFC's Joe Rogan is in the house" or something, immediately there was a huge line.Is that Redban behind you? Looks upset he's not being aknowledged.
My dad almost got into a fistfight with this dude in Vancouver in the early 2000’s. Matthew Good made a post about it on his website at the time.
It wasn't too far for us either, always good fun. It was all a bit wide boy and pikey but I wouldn't have it any other way. The ring announcer was hilarious, right pikey looking fucker, Brett someoneI only discovered MMA in 2007 so didn't get to the early shows which is a shame. I would have loved to have seen Babalu! And definitely Lee Murray.
I doubt the inflatable bananas Tom Watson's fans used to bring when he fought would go down too well now. Not sure who he was fighting but he was on his back, his opponent came down for a superman punch and Tom stuck his leg out and screwed him right up. It was brilliant.
I know it was cheese with the two guys who ran it, but Farnborough wasn't far from Wembley so it was a good night out.

But well done.
I dont see a problem with that. Shows how cheap people are. His autograph will instantly multiply the value so it shoulent matter if you gotta buy a shirt or poster.
Ooh I can’t remember him. The bald dodgy guy was perfect because it was kind of a bit wwe like wasn’t it?It wasn't too far for us either, always good fun. I remember Pro Elite bought them out (Co owners of Elite XC and Strikeforce etc, and they tried to get big names in but it never took off to the level ProElite wanted so it was eventually ditched. I remember Sky dropping them after Paul Daley dropped some F and C bombs before the watershedOoh I can’t remember him. The bald dodgy guy was perfect because it was kind of a bit wwe like wasn’t it?
What happened? Did the bald guy screw it up somehow? I can’t remember.
Haha I don’t know if you brought it up on purpose but redban used to talk in the earlier JRE podcasts about how he would try to photobomb every photo. Legit there’s probably thousands of fan photos with him in the back with a funny faceIs that Redban behind you? Looks upset he's not being aknowledged.
I met him once in Marfa, back when he owned the Boracho Sta Ranch near Van Horn TX. Anyways it was a charity Polo tournament, and when I asked for a picture he just looked down from his horse and said " I'm not here for that."It's fairly common knowledge around San Antonio that if you see Tommy Lee Jones (he lives in the area) you do NOT approach him. lol
Yeah it's nice when people remember you when they have no reason too. Jason Byrne the comedian always remembers me for some reason, I end up on stage with him most times I see him.
As for James Thompson, he was fighting on the same card as a friend of mine, early 2000's I think, down in Brighton or Hastings. They both lost, I forget the specifics of the JT fight but my boy was on the prelims as an amateur fight.
Anway both camps kind of knew each other, we had a lot of smoke with us and they offered us a lift back to Essex, so we all got blazed on the drive home. Met him a bunch of times afterwards and he'd always come over for a chat or a beer, top bloke!
I used to run with a lot of the local MMA scene back in the day, especially Essex way. Circus Tavern Purfleet etc. Early Cage Rage events we had a few friends fight in, usually amateur pre-prelims, usually one and done, but we got to meet a lot of cool people.
Jens Pulver was best, I remember talking to him about his Dusty speech and how it choked me up back in the day, we both got kind of emotional and hugged it out. Dude was real, no fake bullyshit with him
