Celebrities you have seen be dicks

Not sure how high on the "celebrity" scale MMA Fighters are but I saw Yves Edwards and Jon Jones kinda be dicks at the same venue.

I attended UFC Live Cruz vs Johnson in DC in 2011 with a Navy Buddy. The fights were over, I stuck around figuring we'd get a chance to meet fighters. I was right. Yves walked right past us, wouldn't look at me when I called out "Congrats on the win". He didn't shake hands, greet fans, or anything. Maybe he wasn't in the mood, but many other fighters were cool.

Jon Jones was also at the event, he was spectating. He had been talking with Dana over by Bruce Buffer. Bruce Buffer and Dana walked towards us fans. Jones paused, looked at us, turned and walked the other way.

Tara Reid will pull the "Do you know who I am??" bit and cite "AMERICAN PIE????" with a palpable number of question marks.

Meryl Streep she went ewww when a mexican valet asked her for an autograph and ran behind her bodyguard while waiting for her car. Ive encountered other celebs before, David Beckham was super nice at coffee bean, he was letting people go in line infront of him and always smiling. His wife was a huge wench though super snobby polar opposite of becks.

Ian Freeman wasn't particularly pleasant, he kept talking about wanting to be in the porn industry. Nothing wrong with that, just weird. Some guy came up and asked for a photo, he said it would cost him 5 pounds and the guy just walked off.
On the flipside, James Thompson was one of the nicest guys I've ever met, hung out with him a few times many years ago, even had a hazy drive home from Brighton to Essex with him and some others in a van one night.

Ian Freeman thought he was a bit of a stud alright, Michael Bisping was a piece of work too, and this was long before the UFC came calling

I think everyone agrees that Becks is the absolute best. It's funny because he was hated for a while in England, but that's all in the past.

I used to be an aspiring writer and met a lot of writers and poets who later became semi-famous in my country. At least half of them were absolute c*nts and many became even worse after making it. Mind you, making it as a writer in my small country is selling a few thousand books and having the newspapers run interviews with you - you'll still be much poorer than the average working stiff. Never understood why that would inflate somebody's ego like it apparently does.

Saw Nikolaj Coster-Waldau at a cafe once and he seemed like an excellent guy. He was with his family, so I didn't approach, but he was a gentleman to anyone who did.

Family member use to waitress at the annual grand national (horse racing) waited a table with horse owners Sean Connery and Ronnie Corbett

Her memory was they were really rude to the staff and terrible tippers.

Ive met two Spice Girls (separate occasions) Sporty and Victoria Beckham... Sporty was by far the better looking in real life

My mom and sister went to a Williams & Sonoma for a book signing. All the staff could talk about was what a raging bitch the previous signing guest had been. Who might you ask? None other than Rachel Ray. I was like, "She went from working the candy counter at Bloomingdale's to having five TV shows, a magazine, and a line of pet food. You don't glow up like that without some nasty. She was probably jacked on prednisone at the time too. That's when her voice started rasping and she was gaining weight.

Have you any experiences of meeting/seeing a celebrity being a shitty person?

My secondary school had a grand opening of a new arts block which just finished being constructed and for the publicity, had paid a z list celeb and journalists to visit.

The Z list celeb was Alan Titchmarsh. Only famous for being a landscaper on a popular gardening TV show at the time.

About 20 of us students were told to stand there either side of the path he'd walk down to cut the ribbon. None of us cared for him as kids aren't typically in to gardeners. And we were all told to look excited but are not to talk to him!

Anyway, as he walked down a couple of guys tried getting autograph from him but he just threw out this arrogant dissmissive wave and kept walking. As soon as he had his pic taken cutting the ribbon he was gone. Don't think he was on our school grounds five minutes!

For some reason a couple of teachers were excited as if they were meeting royalty.

Here's the smug Wanker.

That's awesome, he seems like a nice guy. How did that come about, you hanging out? Nicest I met was Hendo, met him a couple of times. I swooned when he recognised me from the first time and went bright red. Some Brit chick running up to him in Vegas half cut, pretty hard not to remember I guess. But I like to pretend differently.

A friend is mates with Ian and said he can be a bit sleazy so wasn't surprised. First time I met Bisping he couldn't have been nicer, second time not so much but everyone was in a rush so understandable. My same friend has some stories about him but I won't go into that.

I talked to someone from Upstate New York who said that Martha Stewart is known as an absolute bitch. A technician was here in Maryland installing environmental test equipment in a lab that I worked in. I asked him about his area and his company. He said that the company's owner was a great guy, and the owner's wife was nice too. Mentioned that despite them having bank they treat their employees like family.

I asked how much money is "bank"? He responded that the owners live by Martha Stewart and other rich people. I asked if he ever met her. He replied "No, but my boss and his wife did. She's a bitch". Apparently the couple was out for a walk and ran into Martha who was walking with two dogs that were not on leashes despite there being leash ordinances. He said that the couple was startled because the dogs ran up to them. Martha walked up looking unconcerned. The couple was having a get-together that weekend to meet and entertain neighbors, most of whom planned on attending. They invited her. Martha put her nose in the air, looked down at them, and went "Huhhh". Then she walked past them. No thank you, no accepting the invite, no courteous excuse.

The tech said that he knows others in the area who met her and they all say that she's snotty, rude, and an arrogant bitch. I'd believe it.

I met Kenny Florini at a UFC event in NJ. Nice guy, shook hands, walked away.
I was surprised by his size. Camera does add pounds and inches apparently.

Got an autograph off of Evgeny Kafelnikov (tennis player) many years ago (he was top-10 back then). Signed, walked away. Peeps said he was a nice dude.

Went to a B. B. King concert at a NYC bar on 42 st. He was 30+ feet away. Didn't dare to bother him for an autograph.
He did have some good vibes though throughout the concert.

He gave me directions on the tube when I was last daan south. Nice guy, you kids must’ve been dicks.

No longer a celebrity these days, but WWE diva Stacy Keebs was a straight up certified legit cunt when I met her
I mean she’s a 5’11 blonde with a one in a million body who has been paid good money for the sole purpose of people to look at her because she’s so beautiful since she was a teenager. I can imagine this would make someone pretty entitled. Not surprising. I’m not giving her a pass but I’m not blaming her either.

Dog The Bounty Hunter was doing a book signing or something in my little suburbanite town at the peak of his fame. My girlfriend at the time was like we got nothing better to do so let’s go meet him. He was legit dressed in his bounty hunting clothes for the appearance which if you recall was just a leather vest. There was actually a massive line for him and people had been waiting for a long time. He signed for all of 5 minutes then got back on his tour bus and said he wasn’t coming back out because it was too cold and they left. It was like 78 degrees....

Yeah it's nice when people remember you when they have no reason too. Jason Byrne the comedian always remembers me for some reason, I end up on stage with him most times I see him.

As for James Thompson, he was fighting on the same card as a friend of mine, early 2000's I think, down in Brighton or Hastings. They both lost, I forget the specifics of the JT fight but my boy was on the prelims as an amateur fight.
Anway both camps kind of knew each other, we had a lot of smoke with us and they offered us a lift back to Essex, so we all got blazed on the drive home. Met him a bunch of times afterwards and he'd always come over for a chat or a beer, top bloke!
I used to run with a lot of the local MMA scene back in the day, especially Essex way. Circus Tavern Purfleet etc. Early Cage Rage events we had a few friends fight in, usually amateur pre-prelims, usually one and done, but we got to meet a lot of cool people.

Jens Pulver was best, I remember talking to him about his Dusty speech and how it choked me up back in the day, we both got kind of emotional and hugged it out. Dude was real, no fake bullyshit with him
