My secondary school had a grand opening of a new arts block which just finished being constructed and for the publicity, had paid a z list celeb and journalists to visit.

The Z list celeb was Alan Titchmarsh. Only famous for being a landscaper on a popular gardening TV show at the time.

About 20 of us students were told to stand there either side of the path he'd walk down to cut the ribbon. None of us cared for him as kids aren't typically in to gardeners. And we were all told to look excited but are not to talk to him!

Anyway, as he walked down a couple of guys tried getting autograph from him but he just threw out this arrogant dissmissive wave and kept walking. As soon as he had his pic taken cutting the ribbon he was gone. Don't think he was on our school grounds five minutes!

For some reason a couple of teachers were excited as if they were meeting royalty.

Heard from my gf that Orlando Bloom was a massive ego prick, she said he acted like he was bigger than he was and stiffed her and other fans when they went to do the photo/autographs with him which they paid for in advance.

Or it could be she's just salty she lost her chance with Legolas <45>

The only celebs I've met were fighters and most of the time they were chill dudes, so I can't say I have any negative experiences.
 
One of my aunts met Van Morrison at a party, said he was a massive blowhard which doesnt really supprise me.

As close as I'v gotten to celebrity was the late comedian Sean Hughes having a season ticket a couple of rows in front of me at Crystal Palace in the late 90's, never saw him do anything of significance good or ill.

Meanest guy I've ever met, I made a thread about it when it happened. Long story short, saw him at Dave and Buster's attempted to say hi, he became hostile and started cursing at me. I walked away. Apparently he does this to everyone though so whatever. Lol

The only sports I've ever followed is mma, kickboxing & boxing. I know a few names from basket ball & American football but never seen a single game.
 
i met nicolai volkof at a sports park in nj back in 91 or 92

we waited in line to get his autograph and i when it was my turn i asked 'so is wrestling real?'

his smile went to a sneer, he lifted up a pant leg and showed a bruise that started mid shin that went to mid thigh and said 'Does-ing it look real!!?!?'

so i guess i was the dick.

Guy was at the club i happened to be at, had bottle service etc all night but he decided to go up to the bar. He butted in front of a group of girls, they tried talking to him and he told them to stfu and leave him alone. I told him he doesn't need to be rude and he tried acting hard with me, security saw it all and stood between us and karl got his shitty bottle of smirnoff.

I get that he might not want to be bothered when getting a bottle, even though he has service all night....but you don't need to be a dick to the fans you are performing for who just want your picture/dick. Just say sorry i cant right now maybe later and move on.
