Defendants being given the chance to post bail is spelled out in the 8th amendment. In some cases bail can be denied , depending on the crime and risk of defendant absconding. So are you guys advocating for modifying the Constitution, to remove the bail provision?The issue is they aren’t bailing out protestors. Protestors aren’t being arrested, criminals are.
