I would like to see him get a title shot against Saturday's winner, buy I know I'm in the minority.

The guy absolutely mishandled his career worse than anyone I can think of off the top of my head. He finally had ppv points & was in position to get on the MSG or DEC ppv which are always pretty big. He wasted 2.5 years of his prime so far, sucks because his last cpl performances were special.

He thought he was khabib
Obviously he will never be Khabib, but if he defended the title a few times like Khabib he would be a lot more revered than he is

People see through the win the title then jump up a weight class so you don't have to fight contenders thing

He thinks Olympic Champ + two-division UFC champ = All time great legacy and lifelong admiration from fans

When in reality being a one-division UFC champ and cleaning out your division (preferably multiple times) is a lot more respected

He should just take whoever he can get. He can probably beat Dvalishvili or Sandhagen. That will probably give him a title shot. He's obviously feeling restless and it's now or never for him. This pickiness from Cejudo is silly.

he has to realize if he doesnt fight no one fuckin cares.

He just isnt that interesting otherwise.

Khabib of course is puttin over his boy Islam and has a promotion to run,and people do wanna hear what he has to say about current topics, which they can get from whatever press shit he's doing...but Cejudo trying to pick fights with guys and then come NOWHERE CLOSE to fighting any of them,is just a waste of everyone's time.

It’s been weird watching him flail around the last couple years. Dude left a ton of money on the table.

I like this idea. I’ve never been a Cejudo fan but I’d certainly cheer him on to beat Merab.

Pretty clear Dana doesnt give one single shit about Cejudo, hes not a draw, hes a drama whore and on top of that he knows that hes just gonna piss and moan about everything if he DOES return so Dana would rather not have the headache and would prefer if he did stay retired.

I honestly don't care if he retires or comes back or not. I never was a fan of him. I still think DJ is the better P4P fighter, I don't care if he lost to him.

He's already retired?! You need to fight at least once, after your first retirement, to win the right of having a second retirement

Commiserate with me at the prospect of this tragic turn of events, fellow Sherdoggers.

Says he will fix Max, Max is clearly second best and needs a dance partner. Seems like it might work out. He has given the UFC a pretty good alternative fight to volk IMO. That is a big step in loosing his title or bust attitude.
