Social CBS cancels Colbert and The Late Show

It's just math. CNN has faltered. Rachel Madow and the gay black CNN dude are failures. The far left are loud but aren't large in population. So these idiots do not get viewers. Maher and Stewart gravitated to the middle. They called out absurdities. Colbert did not and the act got tired. His ratings sucked. Kimmel will be next. These morons need to remember Johnny Carson. Poke evenly at both sides and you will be fine. SNL will be in the same boat.

I don’t know about Oliver as I don’t watch him much, but you’re definitely wrong about Stewart. He’s very frequently critical of the Democrats, and not in a superficial way. He’s very frequently ultimately supports them over the alternative but he is not a company man by any measure

Jon Stewart single-handedly destroyed the "The Lab Leak Theory is a Myth" narrative on Live TV....

Seriously... all by himself

In front of a flabbergasted Colbert

Its a combination of both Colberts political views and revenue generation. Paramount wants to reduce risks for their inevitable buyer.

This is just a further extension of CBS settling Trumps frivolous defamation lawsuit.

Leftism just isn’t as trendy as it was ten years ago. Especially now that it’s all corporate.

lol You guys will come to any conclusion other than the one actually given. Your conspiracy theory is an opinion. Colbert's show costing the network $40 million a year is a fact.

Ad revenue was down 50%. Prior the show was seeing a persistent -25% in ad revenue year on year. With a acting President known to use Federal agencies to target his detractors and a detailed history of launching pointless defamation lawsuits.

Last thing a company that requires a broadcasting license and Federal approval of sale is looking to negatively engage with.

No it's just the revenue. Let it go. CBS is a private for profit organization, and Colbert was an albatross costing them 40-50 million dollars a year.

Meanwhile, "South Park", that has been making fun of Trump for a decade now, just got rewarded with a $1.5 BILLION dollar deal by the same parent company. It's almost like they got rewarded for generating profits or something...

This whole conspiracy theory is so dumb.

It’s always about money with corporations. Eventually it trumps politics and personal principles every time.

Trump has stated publicly numerous times his intent to revoke the broadcasting license of CBS.
And? Did he cause Colbert to lose the network 40-50 million dollars per year as well?

Let it go. There is no conspiracy. Unfunny, very costly late night host got fired by a big corporation for being a financial liability. It happens.

Company lost 75% of its value since the heirs daughter(?) took over. Which is mainly a reflection of altering consumer entertainment consumption along with Paramounts costly failed endeavors to recapture audience. Who are additionally in the process of selling while being sued for defamation by a sitting President and the FCC being weaponized by the sitting President.

This is whats objectively happening.
