Oh God, that is satisfying. Fuck Colbert and his lame ass woke propaganda ridden show. He went all in on it and wound up on the wrong side of history. Time for late night talk shows to go back to the original format of actually being funny. Watch Kimmel and Fallon begin their own pussy ass backtrack to avoid being canned as well. Americans don't like being lied to and when they tune into a show that's supposed to make them laugh, political grandstanding isn't making it happen.

They aren’t replacing him, simply cutting the show. I guess it makes sense given a lot of shows that pander to liberals are having lower ratings.

Plus NPR/PBS, not a good week for liberal media.

I like the Colbert Report the times I did watch it, was good satire, his late show was very cringe tho.

Daly Show and Colbert Report was the best hour on TV IMHO. Hasn't been an hour on TV that good since. I never thought he was that funny on the late show or whatever they call it.

fuck colbert, He was absolutely hilarious in Strangers with Candy and on the daily show, but his late night tenure was sooo fucking bad, he might actually be the least funny out of all late night hosts. The format is dead in the water. The last one worth watching was Conan.

Idk if it's political or not but note that all late night shows are becoming less and less popular. It's an archaic format. Most people who watch Colbert likely watch his monologues/other clips on youtube. It makes sense for him just to migrate to youtube fulltime. He'll probably make more money that way, and reach an audience that can follow him more conveniently (?).

I'll tell you something about Colbert, he is really good at the monologue - despite how well written or which political side he leans on. To make a comparison, Kimmel is awful at the monologues, it's a wonder how he never really improved on this after how many years. Kimmel's strength that he feels really warm and caring as an interviewer, while Colbert can interview well but has a tendency to be smarmy.

Jay Leno had the overall best writing team/format. Conan was the most likeable and had many memorable skits.

Can anyone help me find the Jay Leno clip from the 90's where he made fun of Elian Gonzalez being captured in the closet by the SWAT team? That shit stayed in my head for decades lol.

that was well over a decade ago now man. those days are done. john oliver and jon stewart have more integrity but even they (at least on tv) are just "orange man bad" in their messaging and refuse to acknowledge the corruption and overt screwing of the american people by the democratic party.

If I remember properly, he is probably isn't putting on a show here. He actually is quite a devout Christian. A fan of his earlier work. The Late Night Show sucked massive ass. Just a terrible piece of television.
