Cathal Pendred: Unstoppable Celtic Warrior

Just checked his wikipedia page as I have not seen the fight and here what I found :

Decision (drunk judges) lol

Some clear errors in his record there, A draw? Two Losses? Cathal Pendred always wins. Even when he loses.

His fighting style makes Fitch look like a KO artist. I'd rather watch paint dry.

These records are digital, and Cathal's fighting skills are post-digital. And only fights judged by Boston judges count.

Just a thought but..Is the judging actually getting worse ..Is that actually possible

He fights like me miming "MMA" in a game of ketamine-fueled charades.

They gave him the decision so they can match him with CM Punk and hype him as a guy n a 3 fight win streak in the UFC

That will make CM Punk look legit when he hangs in there with a guy who has the striking ability of my grandmother

At least Shields is a really good grappler, Pendred's strength is supposed to be his stand up.....

Well, he's got the 'standing up' part of 'stand up' down to a science. It's just every other kinetic motion associated with standing up that he has to get his head wrapped around.

But even as I'm typing this, he's winning. He controlled that fight, and he's controlling this thread right now. 30-27 Pendred.

The hate Cathal is receiving is absolutely absurd. It appears all these baby footed McGOAT haters are diversifying their bonds and now investing in Cathal as well as any other Irish commodity.

Cathal is like a Keith Jardine in ways, cumbersome, very awkward (Rogan would say 'herky-jerky), appears to have no athleticism and less fighting ability than the commonplace keyboard warrior. Yet, somehow, someway, his opponents know what he is going to do, extensively prepare for it and yet these great professional athletic fighters still can't stop him from imposing his will. He is the type of fighter that espouses old school Irish - tough ass motha and no quit in him.

If you want to know why Cathal is so special, just go watch the Dublin fight, Maybe .0000001 of fighters have the type of toughness that he possesses. Not every fighter can be absolutely flawless in every area and have an ornamental presentation to match. This is fighting, not ballet.

Cathal is a winner and that is more than can be said for Rogan and all you self proclaimed analysts that have nothing better to do than find imperfections with everything but yourself. Cathal could lose his next 5 and because he is a Celtic warrior, he would still be with the UFC.

WTF? Most people are just saying different versions of this
"cumbersome, very awkward (Rogan would say 'herky-jerky), appears to have no athleticism and less fighting ability than the commonplace keyboard warrior."

And imposing his will? When has he done that in the UFC? He definitely didn't do it last night, and he didn't win. Nothing against the guy, he's just becoming the new Diego Sanchez and "winning" fights by marching forward getting punched repeatedly. He is certainly tough as hell, but that doesn't mean he deserved to beat Spencer or Umalatov who both clearly bested him.

Hey, Cathal. Just a few things I'd like to point out, the difference between you and Keith is that Keith used to clearly win his decisions. Yours you appear to have done absolutely nothing and win anyway. Also the whole "celtic warrior" thing is a bit overplayed at this point. I'd appreciate it if we were able to call it how it is and just flat out say that the UFC can chuck you on a region-based card and get a few extra viewers based upon your nationality.

Good luck with your next fight bud.

His uppercuts were hilarious.

I have no idea how he "won" that fight.
