Carlos Ulberg is a more talented Adesanya but without izzy fighting IQ

Ulberg can generate massive power with every strike he throws, check hooks, uppercuts, jabs, straight punches, leg kicks. And he actually has pretty good takedowns as well. Anyway, at times his fight IQ seems pretty low. Izzy has way better fight IQ, but Carols has way less experience so he can get better in this department as well.
Shit post. High Fight IQ is a talent, genius. Arguably the most important.

so basically he will be ass cuz Izzy's fight IQ is the reason he is where he is, hes not the most athletically gifted champ, hes not the strongest or the fastest, but hes very smart about how he trains and how he breaks down tape of his opponents before he even hits the cage, and once he gets there he is very calculated, without that he would be just another generic striker.

Did you watched the fight? It was his first UFC fight and 4th professional fight in which he Killed Nzechukwu, but gassed himself out trying to get a rocked Nzechukwu out of there.
So cardio is not one of his talents.

Ulberg can generate massive power with every strike he throws no matter how little he puts behind it ( adesanya can't), check hooks, uppercuts, jabs, straight punches, leg kicks. Everything. And he actually has pretty good takedowns as well( Izzy lacks completely here). He is far stronger, more explosive and more powerful than adesanya. It doesn't take a genius to see that Ulberg is a more complete fighter. Ulberg body's motricity is just superior. Adesanya only advantage over Ulberg is his cardio and fight IQ.

the clueless posts after a fighter does good are always hilarious

If he'd lost, you'd be saying the opposite

The gold fish memory (izzy dropped costa with a glancing shot, Romero couldn't) and the couch potato have no clue what they are talking about (have you ever sparred? - you'd be surprised which shots rock you) are 100% sherdog

You're confusing talent & skill

Talent as an 'innate' capability still favours Israel.

Israel and Ulberg are basically the same age, and Israel was beating guys like Rob Wilkinson long before he ever considered a run in the UFC.

Even taking into account that Israel has a storied history in kickboxing and other martial arts, I don't see it at all.

The lhw is so weak that ulberg will easily become champ unless Alex Perira fights at lhw tbh

Israel had much more experience when he entered the UFC, they are not the same in fight years & you know this.

Secondly, I'm not saying that Izzy isn't more talented, but if he is it's by a hair & not miles as you suggest. Ulberg is just as athletic if not more so. The footwork & movement you declare that would allow Izzy to run circles around him is skill that he's developed thru years of hard work.

As for whether or not Izzy can do that to guys above 185 is yet to be determined. He got outskilled by Jan, not because Jan was more talented.

For sure, Izzy is lightyears ahead of Ulberg in terms of experience.

But that's why I was talking about relative timelines: when Izzy was beating Rob Wilkinson, Ulberg was losing to Nzechukwu and beating (at best) Negumereanu.

Like, I don't see any comparison?

Izzy's pre-UFC run and results are superior to what Ulberg is doing right here, right now.

If I'm analysing performances, Izzy as a pre-UFC level MMA fighter was destroying the competition in MMA while simultaneously posting an outstanding record in professional kickboxing.

Are you telling me Ulberg could do better than Adesanya if he'd started younger? Because I don't think he could.
