was it at 180? Smith was a middleweight at the time IIRC so it wasn't 2 welterweights fightingThey did a catch weight ?
That was afterhe got into a gang conflict and was accused of stabbing someone in the chest I think
Smith used to fight at mwThey did a catch weight ?
should have moved up to middleweight like the current borz didThat was after
He allegedly retired because he was tired of cutting weight
Not true. Jon Jones has a wrestling partner from Dagestan who said when sparring heavyweights, when turning the heat up, Jon Jones would dominate. This Dagestan who has been with Jon Jones for a while to spar wrestling grappling (he's a HW himself, I think 255lbs) would also help training Jon Jones in fighting while grappling, like, clinching and at the same time doing striking heavy damage without taking the opponent to the floor. This sparring partner said that a month before the Miocic fight they had gotten into a deal to call some good UFC heavy weight fighters to spar with Jones, one of them who is within the top 4 rank in the HW (he said he wouldn't reveal, but it was strongly suggested to be Volkov) and that JJ appeared at the gym a little later than they expected and was noticeably a little drunk, and that when they went to hard sparring, they'd be no match for Jon Jones at all, that Jon Jones would dominate even with striking but once grappling was allowed, it would not even be a contest and JJ would, he said, pretty much do whatever he wanted to them...Jones also couldn't handle econo Reem and got injured.
AA also bullied him which is why he actually have Tom props for beating him

You talking about Condit?I remember when he retired someone close to him was quoted as saying it was to live "a quite, religious and family centered" life or something to that effect.
Then he goes on to stab people in some mafioso showdown.
Should have just kept fighting professionally.
