Car of your choice

I always liked this one from Dazed And Confused

Great taste Kowboy, that 2nd Gen F-Body beast was my college days daily driver.

1971 TransAm 455HO, Polar White. TH400 AT, PS, PDB, AC, 3:08 Safe-T-Trac Rear End, 7041268 QuadraJet Carb...<joy>

IMHO one of the most sleek and sexy tire-shredders in General Motors history.

How many different specs are there? Last year of Godzilla !. Too bad dealer markups ruined many possible experiences

There’s a few but honestly I don’t think there’s a whole shit ton. A lot of people just mod the shit out of them anyway. I saw a ‘Night Edition’ while cruising last summer and loved the way it looked. GTR’s (the R35 in particular for me) just has a great design to begin with. So I honestly wouldn’t mod too much if I got my hands on the right one.

IIRC The GTR was primarily designed by a down to earth guy that didn't have a high HP dream. He wanted to put an AWD car into production that didn't NEED a badass to get the most out of it. His vision was that anyone that got behind the steering wheel could be a performance driver by putting it in gear and letting the GTR do it's thing.

Nissan wanted to show off WAY more HP... he knew "more HP" wasn't needed for best performance.

Wish I could remember where I saw this interview, the guy was humble AF, the real deal.

The R35 design also drew inspiration from ‘the mech’ category which I also find pretty intriguing. With the right wheel/tire combos they’re awesome looking cars.. and I’m not a huge JDM guy but I love R35’s

The fact that along with Vipers, Mark IV Supra’s and a few other cars they’re basically the big dog street wise is kind of cool too. They’re essentially a status symbol now in the scene (and have been for awhile) because what they’re capable of.

Could have traded my 70 SS for a Super Duty many years ago but passed. There remains some questions how legit that TA was but everything I knew to look for pointed to it being a real SD. Never saw a build sheet but if memory serves the owner claimed to have everything. Car was painted gold but was originally red iirc
