Threat?

Which is weird because history has shown us that female leads don't automatically do poorly. The horror genre is 90% female leads / the women survives last / defeats the killer, yet the horror genre has been going for decadesThere's a vague undertone of a threat, to every movie reviewer - Approve of this movie or you're sexist/misogynist/hatewomen.
I don't recall seeing anything like this, so openly, about Black Panther last year. Activists must have had more faith it was a good movie.
That’s too awesome to contain hahahah
New tv spot. Aimed squarely at the patriarchy. Lol.
"I'm kinda done with you telling me what I can't do". Oh damn.

And we all know how great Catwomen and Elektra were. Those movies doing bad was because of those dastardly white males.But...... two of the most notoriously bad comic book movies are Catwoman and Elektra.
Hell, even Ghost in the Shell, starring Scarlet Johansen, flopped both critically and financially.
Let me spell it out for you.

A threat implies that you're threatened, but you're going to tell me that you're not threatened and that's fine.
She's marketing a movie. By insinuating a narrative, as you say, of a patriarchy. But the point is always, as everyone has said, to sell tickets (and that Disney will pander to anyone).
By reacting this way, even though you're not really threatened, helps to create the narrative she insinuates. And draw more attention to the film. That's the problem with spinning films politically. You fell victim to the classic blunder.

The first Cap movie was all about him being told he wasn't fit to be a soldier and he couldn't do the job. He didn't start going on and on about always being kept down and having to prove himself. He let his actions speak for him and he didn't do it to prove a point. He did it because he wanted to fight for his country.Really I saw it more as a person who was constantly being told what they can and aren't capable of. Which actually makes me like this trailer as I can relate big time to that in my own life. Reminds me of that movie with Cuba Gooding where he wanted to be a scuba diver and they kept trying to stop him.
People think she's going to come in and upstage the OGs and that's because of what the Russos, Feige and the actors have said about the character.Man people really believe Captain Marvel is going to take out Thanos by herself.

If a movie is minority or female centered you can count on a contingent of fans to try to micro analyse anything and everything looking for an agenda and some faux offense while ironically complaining about agendas and getting offended.
it is the most predictable thing now.

I am pretty sure that in more than one scene scrawny Cap went on and on about not being fit for the job. Pretty sure buff Cap has referred to that time too.I didn't see anywhere in the trailer where she was going on and on about being kept down and having to prove herself. I just saw her failing multiple times with people telling her she wouldn't be good enough thats it. Is there another trailer showing this?
Yea the Russos also said the title of the movie wasn't going to be End Game. They are liars and this isn't the first time they've lied in the Marvel universe. They are trying to hype up a movie that's all I see.
There are female empowerment undertones with both the trailer and how they market this outside the trailers. Not to mention the history of the character in the comics. The villain in the newest iteration of her solo comic is pretty much the embodiment of "The Patriarchy".I didn't see anywhere in the trailer where she was going on and on about being kept down and having to prove herself. The Russos have misdirected, yes, but the majority of the time, what they show/tell us is what happens.Yea the Russos also said the title of the movie wasn't going to be End Game.
