Law Capitol Rioter Megathread

amazing...only 48 hours after an embarrassing congressional hearing.............and they still managed to inadvertently clear trump. On second thought, maybe it wasn't inadvertent at all, they probably knew it would clear trump and that's why they hadn't charged him. I guess the embarrassment just finally got to them.

And this ladies and gentlemen, is how you move some goalposts.

It was an FBI raid gone wrong. LOL. There was no insurrection.

Here's what happened. The FBI recruited a number of people to deliver information on Antifa. They embedded themselves with the RW targets of Antifa attacks. Antifa took over several cities including DC. The federally aided RW militias then proceeded to clear the cities. Expecting a heavy Antifa resistance, they came prepared for hand to hand combat with Antifa on January 6th. Antifa chose to send intelligence agents and not militants. The police then murdered Kevin Greeson and Ben Philips in their confusion. They responded to the murders with riot gear and began throwing bombs into the crowd during the national anthem. A two man infiltration team emerged from the crowd, cutting through the scaffolding as police fire intensified. With thousands of people behind them, the frontline Patriots could only move forward to escape the rubber bullets, flash bangs and tear gas. And the rest is history.

On a side note, there were a ton of BJJ guys in the crowd. I met like three that day.

I am 100% with you. I said the same thing as a registered Libertarian at that time. The Patriot Act is a total abomination that is now being abused to turn our intelligence agencies against U.S. Citizens.
"...now being abused..." Now? Like only recently? Are you sure you don't mean "from the start has been abused..."?

Capitol rioters called Nancy Pelosi's office for items they lost on Jan 6.

As crews cleaned the US Capitol on January 7, 2021, the phone lines in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office began to ring.

Rioters were calling "asking whether there was a lost and found because they forgot their phone there, or they left their purse or what have you," Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., told Insider on Friday in a Q&A.
Police officers quickly took down information from the callers, Raskin said.

"The officers quickly got on the phone and said, yeah, just give us your name, your address, your social, you know, and we'll tie up those loose ends," Raskin said. "But what's so fascinating to me about that there really were people who felt as if they had been summoned to Washington by the president."

More reason to feel pity for these people, not fear or rage.

Hard to take Tucker Carlson seriously with anything with Trump, since he was in constant contact with Trump. Fox news was acting like Trumps Chief of Staff. They shit on their news channel responsibility of being unbiased. I mean I cant take a news network anchor seriously if they are text friendly with the President. Edwin R Murrow is spinning in his fucking grave.

The Supreme Court cleared the way Wednesday for the release of presidential records from the Trump White House to a congressional committee investigating the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol.

The court's order means that more than 700 documents will be transferred to Congress that could shed light on the events leading up to the insurrection when hundreds of rioters converged on the Capitol attempting to stop certification of the 2020 presidential election results.

Jan. 6 committee issues subpoenas to 'so-called alternate electors'

"The chairman of the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol and surrounding circumstances announced on Friday that it had issued subpoenas to "14 individuals who participated as 'alternate electors' for former President Trump."

Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., said the committee is seeking information from individuals who met and submitted purported Electoral College certificates in seven states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, New Mexico, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

"The Select Committee is seeking information about attempts in multiple states to overturn the results of the 2020 election, including the planning and coordination of efforts to send false slates of electors to the National Archives," he said in a statement. "We believe the individuals we have subpoenaed today have information about how these so-called alternate electors met and who was behind that scheme. We encourage them to cooperate with the Select Committee's investigation to get answers about January 6th for the American people and help ensure nothing like that day ever happens again."
