Capitol Rioters Complain Flying Is 'Huge Problem' for Them

In a post to X, the platform previously known as Twitter, on Tuesday, Scott MacFarlane, a CBS News journalist who has extensively covered Capitol riot trials, noted that many defendants have complained of difficulties with air travel. In the post, he also included a letter from defendant James Rahm III, in which he asked for leniency in his sentence and cited trouble he has had with airport security, claiming that he has been put on a "terrorist watchlist" of some kind.

"I also believe I am on a terrorist watchlist, because flying has become a huge problem," Rahm wrote. "Airlines refuse to allow me to check in or board. After waiting about 1-2 hours standing at a desk, I am finally issued a boarding pass. Then TSA [Transportation Security Administration] takes me for a personal screening which is intense, uncomfortable, intrusive, and lengthy. TSA sets up an additional security check at the gate. They empty all my belongings, while the other passengers wait to board. This has happened the last 4 times I have flown. This treatment is extremely inconvenient and embarrassing for me and for my girlfriend, who suffers the same treatment, just for flying with me."

He continued: "The stigma has affected personal relationships. Some neighbors no longer speak with me. Some friends have exited my life. To this day I receive anonymous calls and hate mail at my home..."

who would have ever thought that breaking the law would have consequences?

i don't even know why they still allow most of these domestic terrorists to board an airplane. but they should at least give them the full on cavity search and go all up in there just to make sure they didn't miss anything. gotta make sure these violent felons are not carrying along any more firearms, stun guns, tomahawks, pocket knives, bear spray, crowbars, baseball bats, hockey sticks, and sharpened up blue lives matter flags to use at their next insurrection.

if the maga toddlers want to cry about being subject to routine airline inspections, then let them cry. or let them walk or canoe to their desired destination if they don't want to agree with the airlines policies and processes.

they can pretend to be the victims all they want. they are the ones who committed serious felony crimes and wound up getting convicted, and not the airline security who are just doing their jobs. and when somebody puts their names through the computers and these j6 insurrectionists just so happen to randomly get picked out of a line and get brought in for a secondary inspection 89 out of 89 times during their travels at each and every airport they walk into, then so be it. they'll just have to deal with it. they're not special. they're still gonna get pulled aside to secondary, just like el chapo or any other criminal would if they showed up to a public airport to board a plane.

they aren't going to stop screening people at airports all because of the hurt feelings of convicted maga trash. and if they're getting flagged and pulled aside every time they travel, that just means that the system is working. they don't want terrorists on their planes, foreign or domestic, and if you have a felony record you better damn well believe they're going to check your shit, and they are going to be alot more thorough with them than they would with an 83 year old granny who has no felony history or warrants issued and didn't participate in an insurrection against their government.

“You are outside of your jurisdiction,” Bru said in lieu of giving a closing argument. “You have trafficked me and you have committed war crimes against me.”

Bru was similarly defiant during his sentencing hearing Wednesday. He interrupted an assistant U.S. attorney to accuse D.C. District Chief Judge James Boasberg of running a "kangaroo court" and demanded five years of tax returns from both the judge and prosecutors. He also said, in no uncertain terms, that he felt no remorse about what he'd done on Jan. 6.

"You can give me a hundred years and I'd do it all over again," he said.
Bru – who expressed his belief online that if President Joe Biden were inaugurated it would cause the U.S. to be overtaken by “globalist,” communist elites.
Ok, which War Roomer is this?

if i had to take a gander on it, i'd say it's gotta be one of the flatties in those flat-earth threads lately. these sovereign citizens and flat earthers live their lives around even more horse shit than your typical maga republican.

i still get a kick out of them though. you can't arrest me, i was just travelling! i do not consent to going to jail, you are kidnapping me!

it was probably just some more of that evidence of election fraud and some copies of obama's real birth certificate and donald trump's health care plan. no biggie.

If you want to play the idiot... please add the red nose.

Clown.

LMAO!!!!!

....

WASHINGTON (AP) — A man who stormed the U.S. Capitol with fellow Proud Boys extremist group members was sentenced on Wednesday to six years in prison after he berated and insulted the judge who punished him.

Marc Bru repeatedly interrupted Chief Judge James Boasberg before he handed down the sentence, calling him a “clown” and a “fraud" presiding over a “kangaroo court." The judge warned Bru that he could be kicked out of the courtroom if he continued to disrupt the proceedings.

“You can give me 100 years and I'd do it all over again,” said Bru, who was handcuffed and shackled.

“That's the definition of no remorse in my book,” the judge said.

Prosecutors described Bru as one of the least remorseful rioters who assaulted the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. They say Bru planned for an armed insurrection — a “January 6 2.0” attack — to take over the government in Portland, Oregon, several weeks after the deadly riot in Washington, D.C.

“He wanted a repeat of January 6, only he implied this time would be more violent,” prosecutors wrote in a court filing ahead of his sentencing.

Bru has been representing himself with an attorney on standby. He has spewed anti-government rhetoric that appears to be inspired by the sovereign citizen movement. At the start of the hearing, Bru demanded that the judge and a prosecutor turn over five years of their financial records.

“I don't accept any of your terms and conditions,” Bru said. “You're a clown and not a judge.”

......

I have a feeling this dude is going to try a half-backed escape attempt and get an additional 20 years or something. LMAO.

"i do not consent!" - the famous line that arresting officers, judges, and jury panels all hate to hear when the sovcits run that by them! all of a sudden they have no other choice but to change their minds and follow the demands and desires of a criminal, all because he doesnt want to be arrested, go to trial, get convicted, or go to prison. if they simply just declare that they don't consent to any of it, all of their legal issues will all just go away and they will walk out of court a free man.

they really hate that one simple trick! i mean sure the guy might have murdered 10 people in church and then jerked off all over their dead bodies while he was praying to satan, but still they shouldn't be able to hold him accountable for his crimes just so long as he doesn't give anybody his formal consent!

but god damn, these trump supporting sovereign citizens are really quite the special breed. how are these even real people? and look at at this guy running his little grift and trying to play the victim to try to gain sympathy and donations from the charitable religious crowd, all while projecting that it's the other side who's trying to financially benefit from whatever actions they deem to be unethical.

well, by choosing to be an idiot and represent himself in a criminal trial, at least his crowdfunding game is at least somewhat legit, and he's not just one of those slimebags who unlawfully uses griftsendgo to try to profit off his crimes while pretending he needs money to fight his legal battles, all while taking on a public defender for counsel and not having any legal dues to even have to worry about paying! there's been quite the lot of those bunch, but the prosecutors have caught on to that game of theirs quite some time ago and have since been asking the judges to seize that money from them or order reimbursement during the sentencing phase. though there's still the odd insurrectionist who's managed to either slip through the cracks or get some pity from the judge and be allowed to keep their grifting haul.

"I do not wish to create joinder with you!"
"I'm A free man of the land"
"I'm not driving I'm traveling"
"I'm not subject to your jurisdiction sir!"

Who knew this is all you have to say to get away with committing crimes?

Jan. 6 rioter got his sentence thrown out. Then his prison time doubled.

James Little successfully argued that his punishment for joining the pro-Trump riot at the U.S. Capitol was illegal. His reward: 60 more days behind bars.

In a scathing statement from the bench, Judge Royce C. Lamberth said Thursday that he was worried about “further danger to our country” because of Little and others’ “shameless attempts ... to misinterpret or misrepresent what happened” on Jan. 6, 2021.

Little was first sentenced by Lamberth in early 2022 to 60 days in prison and three years of probation after pleading guilty to illegally parading at the Capitol. But Little’s public defenders argued prison time and probation can’t be combined for a single “petty” misdemeanor charge. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit agreed.

When the ruling came down in August, Little had already served his time behind bars and about half his probation, so he asked to be set loose. Instead, Lamberth sentenced him anew to two more months in prison, saying Little had shown no remorse or respect for the criminal justice system since the riot.

yeah buddy!

Jan. 6 Defendant Says He Only Entered Capitol to Impress 'Girlfriend'

Lawyers for a man who traveled who pleaded guilty to entering the Capitol during the January 6 insurrection have claimed he did it to impress a woman he wanted to date, court documents show.

Scott Columbus, 40, from upstate New York, traveled to the Capitol after a woman he was interested in promised to be his girlfriend in exchange for a ride to Washington, D.C. Court documents state that he had never traveled out of New York state before being encouraged by Renee Fatta, who pleaded guilty to one count of parading, picketing or demonstrating in a Capitol building in mid-2023.

In September, Columbus pleaded guilty to violent entry of a Capitol building after he was identified by authorities from several pictures and videos, at least one of which was posted on social media by Fatta

yeah i don't think she's gonna want to be with him anymore after he tried to pin his crimes on her. and i don't think he's going to want to be with her anymore after her friends on facebook snitched him out.

Jan. 6 MAGA trash who 'blind-side tackled' Capitol officer gets dumpstered. Sentenced to more than 6 years in prison just to own the libs.

After getting "amped up" at the Stop the Steal rally on Jan. 6, mandarin molester fan Ralph Celentano assaulted law enforcement officers during the Capitol attack.

giphy.gif

WASHINGTON — A rapist supporter who "blind-side tackled" a U.S. Capitol Police officer from behind on Jan. 6 and flipped him over a ledge was sentenced to more than six years in prison Tuesday.

Ralph Celentano, a New York magat who thought the orange sexual predator was the greatest president in American history, was sentenced to 78 months in federal prison.

U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly said that Celentano's conduct was "disgraceful" and that there was no excuse for it, calling the attack on the officer "a truly cowardly and despicable thing to do."

Celentano was arrested in 2022 and convicted at trial last year. Court evidence shows that he believed Molestini Cheetolini's lies about the 2020 election, writing on social media that "crooked poll workers need to be hauled before judges" before heading to the "Stop the Steal" rally in Washington on Jan. 6, and then heading to the Capitol.

“While admittedly ‘amped up’ from the rally, Celentano marched over a mile to the Capitol Building gripping his Orange Cosby flag, folding chairs strapped to his backpack, which bore a patch that read, ‘Kill Them All and Let God Sort it Out,’” prosecutors wrote.

At Peace Circle, Celentano said in a video that rioters should "occupy the Capitol, it's our building," and then joined the mob confronting officers, calling them "pathetic pieces of s---," prosecutors said. Celentano then pushed officers and used their riot shields against them.

Eventually, Celentano shoved U.S. Capitol Police Officer Kenrick Ellis over a banister. Ellis, who served in the military in Iraq, testified that he thought during the fighting outside the Capitol that was how it “was going to end” for him and that he feared he would never see his 5-year-old son again.

Ellis spoke during the sentencing hearing, saying that Celentano “football tackled” him from behind and that he had no opportunity to defend himself.
“I believed that was how my life was going to end that day,” Ellis said.

“You’re not a patriot,” Ellis told Celentano. “You’re a coward.”

Celentano offered a brief apology to Ellis.

"I'm terribly sorry," he said. "Terrible day."

After the riot, Celentano pushed back against conspiracy theories about the attack, saying Trump supporters were, in fact, responsible.

"Nope antifa and Blm didnt take the Capitol we the people did," Celentano wrote on the defunct right-wing social media platform Parler.

About 1,250 magats have been charged in connection with the Capitol attack, including several who were arrested this week. About 900 magats have been convicted. Online sleuths had identified hundreds of additional rioters who have not yet been arrested by the FBI.

heres a video of his assault on that cop, right before another staunch member of the party of law & order hurled a fire extinguisher at the police.

this fine heap of maga trash just won his stupid prize. and lol at him being erked by his fellow magats throwing him under the bus and giving the credit to the fbi and antifa for all of his hard work.

enjoy prison bitch. i'm deeply sorry for you. terrible day. the party of law and order. back the blue. blue lives matter.

Military vet who killed Iraqi civilian in 2004 is ordered jailed on charges he used metal baton to assault officers during Capitol riot

A military veteran who shot and killed a handcuffed civilian in Iraq nearly 20 years ago was ordered jailed Tuesday on charges that he used a metal baton to assault police officers during a mob's attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Chief Judge James Boasberg agreed with prosecutors that Edward Richmond Jr., 40, of Geismar, Louisiana, is a danger to the community. Richmond initially was released after his Jan. 22 arrest.

FBI agents found an AR-15 assault rifle in Richmond's closet when they searched his Louisiana home. Richmond is prohibited from possessing firearms after his 2004 manslaughter conviction for fatally shooting an Iraqi cow herder in the head while serving in the U.S. Army.

"The government is concerned that, under growing pressure, he may snap again," a prosecutor wrote in a court filing.

The judge described Richmond's conduct at the Capitol on Jan. 6 as "pretty troubling to me."

The prosecutor said Richmond was trying to live "off the grid" with untraceable income before his arrest on charges including civil disorder and assaulting police with a dangerous weapon. But the judge said he was less concerned about Richmond posing a flight risk, as prosecutors argued.

Last Wednesday, a federal magistrate judge in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, ordered Richmond's release from custody. Prosecutors persuaded Boasberg to overrule the magistrate's decision.

The judge ordered Richmond to surrender to the U.S. Marshals Service next Monday. Richmond is the sole caregiver for his 16-year-old son. The judge agreed to give Richmond time to make arrangements for his son's care while he is in jail.

"I know it's important to you. It's important to me also," the judge told Richmond, who appeared remotely with his Louisiana-based attorney, John McLindon.

McLindon said prosecutors are relying on "antiquated incidents" in Richmond's life to argue that he is a danger to the community.

"There is not one shred of evidence that in the last three years he has engaged in any type of violence or crimes. He has simply worked and raised his son," the defense attorney wrote.

Richmond was 20 when an Army court-martial panel convicted him of voluntary manslaughter and sentenced him to three years of military confinement for killing Muhamad Husain Kadir in February 2004. Richmond also was dishonorably discharged from the Army.

The Army said Richmond shot Kadir in the back of the head from about six feet away after the man stumbled. Richmond testified that he didn't know Kadir was handcuffed and believed the Iraqi man was going to harm a fellow soldier.

Richmond initially was charged with unpremeditated murder, which carries a maximum sentence of life in prison. But the panel of five officers and five enlisted soldiers reduced the charge to voluntary manslaughter.

Richmond was dressed in tactical gear when he attacked police outside the Capitol on Jan. 6, according to an FBI agent's affidavit.

Body camera footage captured Richmond repeatedly assaulting police officers with a black baton in a tunnel on the Capitol's Lower West Terrace, the FBI said. Police struggled for hours to stop a mob of orange rapist supporters from entering the Capitol through the same tunnel entrance.

"January 6 was not a one-time, innocent mistake, but rather one example of a pattern of dangerous behavior; of responding to tense situations with violence," wrote the prosecutor, Victoria Sheets.

Sheets said the rifle found in Richmond's home was registered to his ex-wife. Prosecutors plan to charge Richmond with a crime in connection with the gun, Sheets said.

"He knows he's not supposed to have this weapon," she told the judge. "He knows what those weapons can do."

A witness helped the FBI identify Richmond as somebody who had traveled to Washington with several other people to serve as a "security team" for the witness for rallies planned for Jan. 6, the affidavit says.

they should have locked him up a while ago. he's a felon in possession of a firearm. oh wait. i guess they did. he originally got released last week but then the fbi searched his house and then they booked him again and have decided to hold him in pretrial detention.
