I've already said many times, that Crawford has a chance because Canelo isn't what he use to be.
Ive also said that if this was 4 years ago, hed probably stop Crawford in 3-5 rounds.
Crawford would never fight that Canelo, and thats why he use to dismiss the fight as too much weight.
Now hes hoping he can catch Canelo at the right time.

There is no way Crawford is 1 fight away from surpassing Mayweather's resume.

No but its closer than you think, Floyd never had that 50/50 fight with a prime opponent, Bud rose to the occasion and if he pulls this off too .. signature wins count for a lot.

Exactly.

I'm stretching the point, but only slightly. In fact, you can make an intelligent case for Crawford would would be a 3x undisputed, undefeated champ who won belts from 35 to 68. Sure he lacks Mayweather's marquee names but Mayweather never became undisputed in 1 division let alone 3.

And I already gave my prediction too. I posted here that Crawford will likely win anywhere from 5-8 rounds and still lose a decision on the scorecards. I don't think he can sustain the dominance required to persuade the judges. Mayweather and Bivol both dominated and both squeaked away with the decision.

I'm virtually ruling out a KO for either side. Gun to my head though, if a KO were to happen I'd favor Crawford to catch Canelo in an exchange. But that won't happen until championship rounds when Canelo will slow down significantly.
 
Seeing Dana White controlling the press conference is hilarious. This guy ego and greed is beyond. He'd sell his soul for profit.
