If Crawford somehow wins, I'll be the first to say that he is the P4P #1 and I'll even go further and say his legacy surpasses Mayweather's.
You guys are making it seem like Crawford is somehow taking on a lose-lose proposition. When has he ever shown that willingness to take on a dumb bet? If anything, he's kept the safety on his entire career.
He now finds himself in the perfect win-win scenario. Even if he loses, his legacy remains untarnished (Duran's legacy was not tarnished by losing to Hagler) and he gets bank. If he wins, he gets bank x2 (rematch money) and his legacy gets elevated to surreal levels based on 2 elite wins.
Why wait until after the fight call it now
