Rumored Canelo vs Bivol DAZN

Two of the best fighters in boxing are fighting each other. Stop crying.

But IS Bivol one of the best fighters in the world at 168? If you claim yes, have fun proving it.

Prove that he isnt

Prove that he isnt

You want me prove draining yourself and moving down a division does not have negative effects on a fighter? That should be obvious, and once that happens there will always be a question mark over the fights validity, which supports my point that its pointless. If Canelo wins he gets no title and he beat a drained fighter so he gains nothing to anyone with a brain.

Ill take Bivols opinion over yours

Damn, people were begging Mayweather to be like Canelo is now, but when he talks big fights hes a cherry picker too. Bivol is surely a more interesting fight than Plant. Fucking Plant should try and sell to us he's anyone at all if hes so demanding at the table. Holding a trinket, who has he beat? Bivol has better looking scalps on his resume than Plant imo, and some think Bivol beats Beterbiev. I'm not sure about that, but some believe he KOs beter so there you go. I could care less about the SmWs left to beat. LHW! LHW!

Oh, I forgot the narrative was Bivol to 168! Lol, kinda blows some of my original post. Still, I dont think that's a rough cut for a guy like Bivol. I still like the fight that way.

Edit: I'd like to see Bivol fight someone at 168 first but not likely in time frame here, eh?

He claimed he could defy human physiology and not get diminished at all by fighting at 168? Wow, I guess he must also be a clairvoyant considering he's never done it before. Link me that quote please btw.

i mean...Chad Dawson tried and it was one of the biggest disasters we have ever seen.

So, I think it's fair to be skeptical
If that were the only fighter to ever go down for a fight it would be a strong point.

The point still remains that Bivol has been asking for this for a long time. Hes not having his arm twisted in negotiations here.

hmmm what is the big example of a fighter going down in weight and it being a big success?

It's interesting because we have the era of Pac and Floyd where they went up and down but they were already pretty undersized for the weights they were at

In terms of a guy who was established at his optimal weight going down......

Not sure actually?

Mundine? Hearns? Id have to give it some thought. The money is usually in higher classes not lower ones so theres certainly not a plethora to pull from.

Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Lalonde too the initial SMW title bout, more competitive than Ward/Dawson but the same result. Some twisted part of me likes seeing LHWs move down to the SMW limit and get blasted.

Then how can you possibly say that Plant has a better chance than Bivol?
Bivol ? When he had fought with weight in weight 168 lbs?
Btw I think if they will not be able to put Bivol on short training camp and weight in weight lower than 175 lbs, Canelo will not fight with him.
Eddie also looks that will prefer to gave Bivol Buatsi sooner or later.

You seriously think that somehow Plant can stop Canelo whereas Bivol can't?
Plant is 168 lbs division boxer.
Not likely he might stop Canelo and ofc should collect paycheck. $ is reason why they are in pro boxing.

Canelo too is in pro boxing for $ not to challenge himself or prove legacy or any other kind of bullshit stuff.
All they are there cos they want $, the more the better.
Legacy, challenge etc are talks for fans and history specialists.

Hearn says if he can't get Plant he wants a titlist at LHW. Then he says its a catch-weight? So its not for a title, or is it? WTF is going on?

I know you know this but it's best to not listen to anything Eddie says.

Yeah Hearns did good.

Doing it ended Roy Jones career pretty much as well but that was just one fight up. same withDonaire who went up way to far for one fight i think vs walters so probably doesn’t count

hmmm
anyone else guys? who dropped down after a good campaign at a weight and was successful. not just one fight at the above weight

like someone fighting most of their career at 147 and dropping to 140 for example

Didnt RJJ go down and beat Trinidad?

Canelo if famous with his cherry picking and catchweights. Canelo weights.
It is business.
