I don't get it. With a decent smartphone/tablet, you can be listening to awesome podcasts, reading great e-books, watching great movies/shows, etc...but I'd say that 99% of the people I see on my morning commute on the subway are just playing things to enjoy the bleep, score, blah blah.

    Why?

Depends on who you see. Older people don't know how to figure any of that stuff out but they understand candy crush.

I think it also set up very similar to slot machines and gets people addicted.

Isn't candy crush a puzzle game similar to Tetris?

It's a puzzle game, but I wouldn't call it similar to Tetris. If we're going to reference old school video games, I'd say it's more similar to that old Sega game Columns. But even then, they're pretty different.

The dude I work with is on that shit all day. Well not all day, but as soon as his lives end then he hits up his phone to play.

Not as bad as 'Farmville', but then again, I'm not sure if people still play that shit.

I'm not much of a gamer, I don't have any games on my phone, I get enjoyment from browsing the internet and listening to music on it.

Could be worse. Could be Farmville or Whoville. *shudders* It's just the newest fad. Relax, fads live fast and die hard.
