Those poor illegal immigrants are our source of innovation and brain power? Somehow I doubt that. There aren't too many undocumented scientists and engineers out there.
In fact, once we clear out a lot of this illegals and get our borders under control, maybe we can think about upping our immigration quotas so we can bring in more skilled workers from around the world.
