Not going to happen or else they would have done it already.

If the cops go in for a sweep it will be counter-productive because there's no chance they have enough units to arrest thousands of truckers or have the space to put them in. The number of truckers are completely overwhelming to the relatively small units of police.

And if they arrest the truckers, the trucks are still right there. Who's going to move them? The vast majority of trucks are stick-shift, and I can tell you from personal experience its a LONG process to get someone that has driven automatic cars their entire life to driving an 18-wheeler stick-shift.

In short the cops NEED the truckers available to move the trucks after the truckers are satisfied with the results of their protest.

Also I'm sure the truckers all are using dash locks which will makes things a bit more problematic

Any honest people out there that don't worship the DNC have got to acknowledge what they see happening right in front of them... Add in the full frontal attack on Joe Rogan and his platform that scares the shit out of them.

There is no getting through to the zealots but the everyday person that just wanted to believe on their news networks have GOT to be seeing the cracks now. If not, then it's over. The fight is over. Anyone with common sense have all been isolated and will eventually be crushed.

I don't know what their strategy will be to move forward he trucks, but my guess is it will be a long process of towing them to a large and secure location like a military air field.

Even if they were, the rigs required to tow 18-wheelers are few and spread out the entire nation. I know for a fact there's only 200 of them in the USA, so I can only guess there's a few around Ottawa.

Even if they had a dozen rigs available, it'd take months of them working 24/7 to move thousands of trucks to an air field outside the city... depending how far away the air field would be.

I will have to look more into it. I'll come here a lot of times to get some more context but from what I understand millions of dollars were donated to this Convoy via GoFundMe and now something has happened where the Convoy will not receive the funds and everyone that donated will receive a refund.

I wouldn't describe myself as a conservative in fact I spent the first half of my life hating Republicans especially cancel culture on the religious right wing but with that said we are paying a heavy heavy price for letting left wing salads take over everything from education to Big Tech to the point where now situations like with this Convoy can be completely shut out of a site like GoFundMe... just because.

Spotify will drop Rogan next or they will continue to be attacked from all directions. For their ideology to succeed and grow they can't have people having open and honest conversations.

If they were losing they'd become more... disruptive with the placement of their trucks.

Blocking the entrances & exits of interstates, and parking ACROSS the interstate itself.

Just looking at this map I could find a few pressure points that it'd only take a dozen trucks parked in strategic places to nearly shut down the entire city.

Truckers aren't a unique group of people in this setting. Canadian police forces are trained in de-escalation techniques and learned all their lessons from the Oka crisis in 1990. There are a lot of protesters (about 8000 but in a small area it seems like more) but not thousands of trucks (more like a few hundred at best). It's not as big as you seem to think it is, but it's big enough to paralyze the capital's core and disrupt the lives of people living there. The cops have contingency plans and putting the resources in place for all eventualities, not to mention situations change so they need to adapt accordingly. But the general sense is things are going to fizzle, but it needs to be done in a way that minimizes violence and destruction of property which local merchants are afraid might happen (and rightfully so). These types of demonstrations tend to attract the crazies. Hell, just last night there was an alleged attempt at burning down an apartment building; a building from which some habitants were yelling at protesters to leave and go home from their windows and balconies. The amount of police complaints are escalating, and more and more tickets are being issued. The fact that things are starting to get a little hotter are indicative that the pressure is being put on them. They're not "winning". The government hasn't lifted any measures yet, and we are sensing, as I mentioned, the cops increasing their pressure on the group. The mayor of Ottawa declared a state of emergency late last night knowing that many have already left to go home with many wanting to come back next weekend. Do you think that was a coincidence? Things are going to shake up this week and these chuds are going to complain that they lost their freedom, but the residents of downtown Ottawa will hopefully regain theirs.

Well for the left and basically anyone that finds themselves opposed to this Convoy, it's all about that paradigm.
But not what you would call ideologically left or right. It is simply red team and blue team and even if their precious blue team does something that flies in the face liberal values they will still support it to the fullest because that's their team and they're going to support whatever the team does... because hopefully it will piss off somebody on the red team I guess. I don't know.

This Zealot way of thinking is the only way you could celebrate and cheer on the closing of your own business, your forced vaccination, the censoring or silencing of programs or platforms that you enjoy.

It really is mind boggling. I definitely do feel like in recent weeks they have been reaching too far and so fast that certain people on the fence are starting to catch on so what's happening. I don't know that it's going to be enough though.

The occupation is only going to last until the truckers start to suffer the consequences of their actions. What they are doing is illegal, and they will have criminal and financial consequences. Even with the dark money funding them, it is unsustainable.

The protesters aren't very smart, but pretty soon they will see that the organizers have lied to them and that they are fucking themselves by overstaying their welcome.
