Their list of demands is fucking insane. I used to live in a building where nearly everyone was a postal worker, what a bunch of useless stuck up entitled pricks. They act like their job is difficult, it isn't, I tried it for a year in the 90s when there was actually shit to do.

Sounds like you couldn't hack it.

So you read my post and from it you gather the exact opposite of what I said ? You must work for Canada post.

When I did it, the workload was much higher than it is today and the wage and benefits were less. It wasn't a hard job then back then. I went on to bigger and better things.

out of curiosity, can't you just post the letters and writting one back yourself and put it in you mailbox?<lol>

My kids are young enough to still believe in Santa, but old enough and smart enough to spot the difference between an “authentic” letter from Santa (ie one that’s been post marked and written on fancy Santa letter head in a Santa envelope) that the risk was too high that they could spot a “forgery”. Plus all their friends at school were in the same boat, so my kids would probably find it unusual and suspicious if they got their letters from Santa replied to while their peers did not.

Instead my children will likely just grow up hating the Canadian Union of Postal Workers.

Lol protection against technology demand is hilarious. Actively trying to limit stream lining a process that is bad that it's hemorrhaging money.

Let it die out.

Looks like the union blinked. They probably realise they have lost the support of the public.

They're staying on but won't be working overtime. Doesn't this just save Canada Post money and fuck over the few union members who actually want to work overtime and make extra money?

Clowns.

Edit: actually they're just asking union members not to work overtime lol.
