Can you think of an actor that portrayed a badass that failed miserably?

Bob Odenkirk in “Nobody” was so bad. Watching him morph into a lethal action hero was like seeing your grandma try to do the backstroke—completely unconvincing and a little terrifying! His “everyman” vibe was so unconvincing that he came off as a big nerd.

Horrible movie by the way.

Cruise as Jack Reacher
I love that movie
but I am completely unfamiliar with the lore
if you just treat it as a fun action movie it is pretty damn enjoyable
the thing is Cruise has the chops to do action stuff

Odenkirk was weird watching him do the fighting and what ever

my entry would be Sean William Scott and chow Yun fat in bulletproof monk

Fat is one of my favorite actors and action stars but he isn't a kung fu dude

I just learned on his wiki his first film role was 1993 in Wayne's World 2 as a "concert nerd" lol!

Christian Slater in True Romance is the worst. I have tried to come around on this movie but he ruins it for me. Drexl would've ate this geek for dinner.

Richard Grieco - If Looks Could Kill
Kevin Klein - The January Man
Kevin Costner - Bull Durham

Not buying it.

Mr. Miyagi is a great character but watching him beat down the entire Cobra Kai was almost as cringe as the De Niro in The Irishman.

Honorable mentions to Pesci in Casino and Jonathan Banks in Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul. Love the performances but some of the fight scenes were just difficult to watch.
