as cringeworthy as he makes it, hes really just trying to draw attention to the sport. hes been with the UFC for so long, and the first 6 or so UFC he commentated for free. he just wants to see the organiziation grow. Although i despise ronda she really helped the UFC get introduced to a huge mainstream audience; Joe understood this and pushed her name. I'm sure he didn't truly believe that her and brock were as transcendign as he described them. he just knew of their draw and wanted to hype them even further.

It's just obnoxious

Hyping is a good way to draw attention to the sport, overhyping is a bad way. It annoys the hell out of hardcore fans and makes the sport look bad in the eyes of casual fans - "THIS woman was gonna beat Mayweather? lol"

People ways seem to hate those that are established and always want the alternative.

If its not rogan it would be someone else. Im good with rogan. At least hes honest on his podcast.

There's nothing wrong with hyping up and promoting the product your apart of.

When you start literally crying talking to someone and refer to her as a 'mythical creature' well, you're going over the boundaries of hype and promotion and into the realm of bullshit stupidity and ridiculous nonsense.

No, what Rogan does is obnoxious as fuck and ultimately set Rousey up for the humiliation of her life time.

You can hype something or someone up without being obnoxious and ridiculous as fuck.

It's more general, it's annoying see the main MMA org be based about random unprofessional retardness

Im not! at all! when he overdoes it i just know itll be fodder in here, but it doesnt bother me at all, really.

I 100% agree. Sometimes he goes WAY OVER THE TOP and it blows up in their faces. And it's not JUST Rogan but he does it the most, and I understand its his job and he's just trying to spark peoples INTEREST but... Sometimes it's just so OBNOXIOUSLY bad it literally makes me cringe.... Like whoever said Ronda was a once in a lifetime human being,or that she was Mike Tyson-esque and her having his Aura. Sometimes it really makes me feel sick..

If you're overhyping something, then something is wrong with your product. A good product stands on its on and needs little hype, it creates its own.

no its his job
i would do it to if they hire

uh no they pay joe rogan big money and want to keep him because he does a great job about getting people excited, because he is genuinely excited himself. If he is talking before a ufc card that isnt that great and he acts bored and deadpan, that is a waste of money, and honestly brings everything down,.

This is not the case with Joe Rogan. From my experiences most casuals really enjoy Joe Rogan, and Bruce Buffer. 95% of the complaining I endure comes from forum goers.

He has won the Wrestling Observer Newsletter award for Best Television Announcer on two occasions. He was also named "MMA Personality of the Year" three times by the World MMA Awards.

And doesn't seem to be true among his peers either. I don't believe Rogan makes the sport look bad, it's very much the opposite.

I saw real tears streaming down Rogans face just recalling Rondas accomplishments. Forget about the beating up professional male fighters...Rogan said "the world has never seen a fighter or athlete like Rousey"? The crying? WTF? I have no clue if Rigan gave his serious opinion in his Ronda worship. No doubt he thought she was better than she actually is. Thank you Mrs.Holmes.

Rogan was ok until recently. The recent Ronda debacle hurt the sport in the eyes of the casuals I think, and Rogan was a big part of building her up into a goddess.

I think the whole Rousey "debacle" was great for MMA.

Eh I think most people just take it in stride. And some people take it way too seriously.
