Holy shit. He is ruthless. Hits hard as anybody out there. Fast as fuck. Incredible footwork. This guy should be way more well known than he is right now. What's he going to have to do to become a superstar? Maybe he should move up to HW sooner rather than later?

That's what he'll have to do to become a star. Move back up to heavyweight. He's fought there before, several times in fact, but against piss poor opposition. That's why nobody mentions it. I'd like to see him sit at the big boy table and see if he can eat with them. It's a very dangerous jump but that's where the most lucrative match-ups are.

He’s exciting and talented, but seems a bit of a glass cannon to me, which doesn’t bode well at HW. Old breidis beat the shit out of him twice in fights he lost handily. His problem is CW is terrible and his only real challenge is a blown up SMW in rameirez, who I think he beats. He’d be a very small HW (he’s a small CW) and is he gonna be durable enough for guys that hit far harder than breidis? I don’t see him having success at HW at all if he did move up.

The biggest/best fight for him is beterbiev but is he gonna put on nearly 2 stone to fight Opetaia? Probably not in all honesty. Unfortunately for jai I Think he’s gonna be stuck fighting at CW or Bridger. Weight classes that most don’t really care about

It's a very interesting point. It seems like cruiserweight for some reason just doesn't get that much attention. It's either LHW or HW that everyone wants to see. Most of the big names would have to move up to fight him, and the HWs sure aren't going to move down.

Historically it hasn't but cruiser received a fair bit of international attention several years ago. It was the only weight class to be featured in back-to-back Super Series tournaments. Winner was awarded the Ali trophy & received $10 million in prize money.

as someone mentioned above, he took an absolute fucking beating in one of his fight i watched, and while he won the fight, he cant take that sort of punishment against the big boys, especially with the likes of Dubois, Bakole and Parker knocking about who are all pretty active and hard hitting guys

also, outside of breidis, who was the guy who battered him, he hasnt really fought decent opposition, like to see him unify his division before he moves up, i actually think the best cruiserweights are a division below that weight
