getting really tired of this crap have we really fallen down this far that we give credit, pat people on the back and saying good job for people doing something that your suppose to do?

reminds me of this chris rock comedy bit

It's refreshing to see someone lose with grace. Unlike Aldo. Or almost everyone else.

Its out of character. I figured he would take the loss badly. It was a big risk to move up two weight classes after winning the belt at 145lbs 3 months ago.

I think the positive reaction has been so big because there have been two high profile examples of people taking losses badly recently.

Ronda Rousey and Cam Newton.

There was nothing out of character about it if you have any idea who Conor is or what he represents. Comments like these just further confirm my suspicion that Sherdog hates on people simply because they're too socially inept to read people correctly.

Nope you sit there and take it.

You have hater blue balls.

You expected him to be broken, humiliated and fading into obscurity, unfortunately for you he took it like a man, showed up to the presser and still has his belt. Suck it.

I dont see what the big surprise was. I think its funny how many people have maide this thread though.

Why? Why not constantly talk about it to highlight the disparities between the way Conor handled defeat and the way someone like Rousey (and to a lesser extent Aldo) did?

Conor didn't make excuses, did the post-fight interview, attended the presser, did optional interviews (i.e. BT Sport) and took the defeat like a...true champion.

Ronda is on the other end of the spectrum. Went into hiding, flat out refuses to talk about fighting in interviews and brings up this bullshit about suicide to deflect. And now with Miesha champion, she's almost inevitably going to come back and win the title and pretend the Holly fight never happened.

I know which reaction I prefer. And that reaction should be celebrated, while Ronda's should never be allowed to be lived down.

I disagree. When he loses his belt and regresses to the mean like most hype jobs, he'll be humble about it. He'll be just be part of the crowd again and content just to have his little run. Red panties not so much then.

I think its pretty easy to not act like Rousey and if people hated on me the way they hated on rousey i wouldnt wanna show myself in public either.

And somehow that is your biggest achievement.

You're just raging that Conor took it like a man and you didn't get your Ronda moment, the pressure is off a bit now and I expect the best Conor ever when he returns.

Its what you should do....but way too many dont....

It's OK, TS. Fact is, all of you choosing to create these idiotic threads made purely to insult either Nate or Conor are equally pathetic.

Conor DID take the loss like a champ though; he made very few excuses, gave Nate respect, and vowed to come back stronger. Seems like a championship mentality to me.
