Can we please be done with hyping this fake street Jesus dude?

Except Jorge had never done anything besides beat the massively overranked #2 Till to make it seem like he was any better than he'd always been. That was the entire basis for the "new" Masvidal in that he'd all of the sudden beaten a ranked fighter. And not that Till was so improperly ranked (who'd still dropped this "new" Mas).

People just completely seem to forget Masvidal was never actually a title contender, but the only one willing and able to step up and fight Usman on short notice after Burns pulled out. They just then parleyed the short notice nature of it to explain away the loss into another title fight because of PPV buys, and then he got Colby again for PPV buys.

It has nothing to do with losing to #1 and #2, but rather that he never should've been fighting any of them, no more than he'd ever done so. The UFC milked all the dumb Street Jesus stuff, just like OP is talking about.
STFU. Even Till has great wins in the UFC. He beat Gastelum in a war after losing to Jorge. You're a dumbass.

What Till does after he fights someone is completely irrelevant to what he was in regards to the fight in question here. When he fought Jorge he was only ranked #2 in the UFC because they'd massively pushed him to the front because he was English and then he'd benefitted from a hometown English robbery over Wonderboy. Even Till immediately offered a rematch to Wonderboy not in England due to the questionable nature of the decision. Instead the UFC robbed Colby of his title unification to give Till a title shot before he could lose and so he got to stay #2 until Jorge.

He was never actually #2 in the UFC, hence the draw he'd already had in the UFC, what should've been the loss to Wonderboy, the loss to Woodley, loss to Jorge, loss to Whittaker, loss to Brunson. He is a decent fighter, as shown by the glimpses of success he's had, but he's just like Jorge in that he's not actually a great fighter. He's 6-4-1 in the UFC for a reason.

He landed more shots while they were standing up,he is just superior to Masvidal in every way
Oh. Im not much a fan of Masvidal, and I knew Colby was going to win. The only thing that wasn't predictable about this imo was how good Colbys chin was. That shot in the 4th round from Mas wouldve killed most people and Colby took a knee and got upright immediately.

I just. I find Colby so fucking boring. If he fights anyone except Usman, he's reminiscent of Jon Fitch were he better on the mic. I dont get the Colby hype whatsoever. Yes, he's clearly the 2nd best guy at weltweight right now, but id sooner pay for his interviews (which imo are cringey as fuck) than his fights

Nailed it. Most fighters drop dead after that shot. Now we have to listen to how bad Jorge's always been by his dumbass haters.
