I get that the UFC can barr Conor from fighting in other sports. However, could the Muhammad Ali Act kick in specifically for boxing matches?
Not even the Genghis Khan act is going to allow Conor McGregor to box with Mayweather without Lorenzo stomping his balls into pancakes.
But I love the popcorn Mayweather vs. Conor is creating. So please continue arguing! kthxbi
conor is under contract with zuffa. no boxing match with mayweather will happen.
His contract definitely prevents him from competing in another striking sport. I know some fighters do grappling competitions but they might even need permission for that.
Pol Pot Act might come into play though.
This. Exclusive contracts, Conor isn't fighting anywhere. The only thing he could do is grappling, which the UFC has allowed in the past and recently.the contracts fighters sign with the ufc and almost all other major organizations typically involve exclusivity in MMA and in all combat sports.
Let's not forget the Mao Zedong Act... many repercussions.
