There seems to be something fundamentally wrong with Punk's punching instincts. Like his biomechanics just don't understand how to throw a punch. Like how some people can't throw properly.

I've seen drunken basement boxing matches at parties and ordinary guys with zero training exhibit much more technical boxing with far better biomechanics (to get power, etc.) than Punk has with several years of training.

No. The average guy punches even more awkward.

That said Punk punches awkward.

Type street fights in YouTube and you’ll see dozens of untrained people with better more powerful punches. Punks punches are all just arm punches and he seems to have no depth perception or sense of timing. Even many untrained people will turn their hips and put their body weight behind strikes.

Hell the average girl can punch better.
This is not even a joke. I’ve seen videos of him hitting the heavy bag I’m not sure what was wrong with him in the ring maybe the stress just got to him? That said, I am female and can throw a faster/tighter snappier punch than that by far.

CM Punk's striking looks no better than mine, his cardio is better than mine though, as sad as that is.

Punk is terrible athlete. Was super awkward and stiff as a board.

I dont know that he could ever be a good fighter.

Yes.... Obviously some guys cant punch but plenty can throw better than punk

No. I've seen and trained plenty of average guys with no training come into Muay Thai class for the past 10+ years, and most suck ass, if they had no training. Many are liars though. Sometimes they had decent training but say they never trained, etc. The ones who don't have any training but don't want to admit it, will often say they had some "in the street" when we ask them.

Let this be a lesson to all of y'all. Don't gas yourself up and think that you can handle yourself in a fight because you train. It doesn't work like that. Booker T could put a royal asswhooping on CM Punk, and I don't think he's ever trained MMA. Training doesn't suddenly mean that you're able to handle yourself.

In all fairness people who know how to punch tend to get into fights more often. But agreed... a lot of them have better technique.

Isn't it terrible to watch your own footage.

Just ugh!

I use to love doing motion study and running my kicks back in slow mo.

Now its just a joke lmao, well maybe it always was...

It's easy (easier) to maintain form and technique on a bag or pair of mitts.

Much harder in real-time against resisting opponents.

The average guy has no clue about anything relating to fighting and would be even more lost than Punk if place in a similar situation.

Punk just did not understand how to take power from the ground through his feet, legs, hips, back, shoulder, arm, wrist, fingers. His footwork honestly looked like a prancing deer.

This is where Sherbros (the average guys) are trying to convince themselves that they would do better than Punk in the octagon.

Well I would like to think I punch better than punk. The only punch that wasn't really intuitive for me to learn with zero training was the uppercut. And all I needed to learn was to throw it like a hook, which gets the legs, hips, etc. into it. Initially I was throwing it like an arm punch.

But I am moreso comparing him to my friends. And my friends who are average Joe's, probably below average athletes, seem to punch better than him.

he kept his guard up so already he's better than most men.

He should've trained heel hooks the whole training camp.
