this seems like a good explanation, but that would only pertain to google searches.

Here, we are in an MMA forum & so everyone understandz which one we're talking about. So I'd say the explanation must go further to include the idea that maybe the people referring to "FKL" in this forum ...are doing it for a bit of tongue & cheek & maybe a jab at FKL's future if he doesn't start winning more.

I don't know about that. Both Google and Bing bring up "our" Kevin Lee as the first result. Then again, I've heard that search engines can skew results based on search history.
