Can someone explain the “Fighter” Kevin Lee meme?

Some say the Bernie Sanders campaign statement started it:

But apparently I heard his drivers license reads:

LEE, Fighter Kevin

- from well before the election campaign

Didn't know his real full name was Fighter Kevin Lee. Smart parents, though. They knew that a lot of ambiguity was going to be created.
 
I always thought it was his instagram handle but it's not.

Yeah, I have a question. Over here, on your left. I cook sunny side eggs but I often have some of the white stay congealed around the yolk as in the picture there. What is the best way to break that up so that the egg whites are evenly cooked? I’ve tried adding some salt to the congealed portion or just trying to break it apart with a fork, with varying degrees of success. So I’m just curious, what are your thoughts on that?
 
I don't know about that. Both Google and Bing bring up "our" Kevin Lee as the first result. Then again, I've heard that search engines can skew results based on search history.

Ever poached an egg before?
Use the ramekin method for cooking an egg evenly on the pan all at once.
I have a little rectangular dish that is normally used for sushi, but also used for poaching eggs.
The key is not letting it splash into the pan like the picture posted above.
That guy is an amateur.

I vaguely remember some type of commercial with him in it that felt the need to clarify that he was a "fighter" like one of those dumb cell phone or beer comercials "fighter kevin lee" blah blah blah uses metro.

Use butter mixed with some oil to try the egg(s) and keep pouring the excess in the pan over the whites.
Mixing some oil will make the butter able ti reach a higher temperature before burning, which Will help you create those crispy, browned whites, while maintaining a lovely soft, or gooey yolk.
 
Everyone's taste in humor is different but for some reason I find it funny and cool as a nickname.
