Can Nate Diaz make 145?

Then why are there so many threads saying that Conor and Nate are the same weight class?

Umm because Conor is a natural LW who fucking killing himself to make FW. What they saying is they both are natural LW fighters.

Except for the fact that Nate is much bigger than Conor, so much so that Conor can easily make 145 and Nate wouldn't be able to. In other words, Nate is one weight class higher than Conor.

so much so that Conor can easily make 145

Wow, You don't have a fucking clue, do you? Easily make 145 yet Conor's own coaches and Conor, himself, talk about how fucking hard it is for him.

And from Conor's own coach's mouth, he cuts over 25. That's a fucking HUGE cut for a FW. Yet people rag on Jon Jones for cutting 10-15 pounds at LHW.
Jones cuts more like 25 pounds. Of course this was pre-IV ban. I'm curious how he will handle this next cut, especially since he added he extra mass.

Yes Nate could make FW. Wouldn't be that healthy but he can do it.

He is not depleted at all at 155. He would just have to diet his way down to 160 (or even 155, I think he could naturally get down to 155 with a strict enough diet) and then cut to 145. Strict veggie diet with no carbs and Nate can make 160 without cutting water no problem with his body type. Then 15 lbs water is nothing to cut.

If you think 145 is impossible for Nate you don't know much about dieting or weight cutting. Its definitely doable.

There is a difference between cutting and losing weight in camp. Jones is out of shape and carries fat at 230l-235 bs. When he's in camp and in shape he's around 218 from what he's said in the past. Then he cuts from there. The cut is mostly the dehydrating they do. Then they put it back on after weigh-in.
I have no idea what Jones will be like if he's packing on muscle now.

Conor's striking coach says he cuts from about 170 and walks around at about 177.

"Conor would love to do it. Conor walks around 80 kilos (177lbs) and he'd still be cutting a bit at '77'," said Roddy.

UMM Nate is bigger than every single Lightweight he fought that doesnt mean they aren't Lightweights lol.

Nate was way bigger than RDA than Conor does that mean RDA not a LW no lol. The reason Conor makes 145 is because hes willing to go to extreme limits to get an advantage by cutting lots of pounds to make 145. Sure Nate can kill himself to make 145 but he choses not to. lol at Conor easily making 145 when he kills himself to make the weight limit idk where your getting your info from lol. Nate isnt one weight class above Conor Conor is just cutting extreme amounts of weight to be in a weight class he doesn't belong in hes a natural LW. PS Conor not easily making 145 hes killing himself just because Nate is not doing the same doesn't mean Conor not a natural LW fighter.

Nate is a 170 who cuts a lot of weight to fight at 155. Nate can't make 145...

You are casting a bright shining light on your ball gurgling right now.

FFS, fighters are not 2 dimensional you idiot. I guarantee you Conor was the stronger of the two men in Diaz vs Mcgregor.

In bodybuilding that's sometimes called the 'look of death'. It's what you see when a bodybuilder gets down to like 3-4% bodyfat and dehydrates them self so you can see all the striations The worst I can remember was James Irvin @185, but Conor @145 is right up there.

Irvin:

A good example of a bodybuilder with the death look:

The sunken in cheeks are a hallmark of massive fat and water loss. The fat pads in a person's cheeks are one of the last places the body will lose fat from, along with glutes, the last bit around the midsection, and the pads in the hands and feet. I've heard of bodybuilders saying that it's painful for them to stand on stage because the weight cut means they have less padding under their feet than normal.

So bodybuilder dehydrate themselves as much as possible for competitions?
Sounds obvious but I had no idea

Nate is not a 170lber. Watch any of his fights at that weight. Not a good weighclass.
Nick is a 170er and he looks bigger than lil bro, no?

God I hope he never tries. It's a horrible idea...

He could be leaner. Weigh-in Diaz is maybe at 7-8% bodyfat and he could drop to 4-5%. He could also lose muscle if he had to. You can always lose muscle. Just ask Christian Bale. In that photo people always post from 'The Machinist', bale is around 120-130 lbs. at the same height as Nate Diaz, 6'.

Nate could starve and dehydrate himself down to 145 if he wanted to, but the question is whether or not he'd retain his fighting skill in the process of losing the size.
This is the truth

I think Nick is a 165er and Nate is a 160er. They both fall outside standard WC, IMO. Still, I wouldn't add more WCs -I hate the boxing model.
