I have know many firemen, my buddy was a chief, another friend was high up in CalFire. Another family relative was a fireman out of Orange County. All of these people are white.

Perhaps just a coincidence.

Perhaps you disagree but most of us believe organizations like police and fire departments should loosely reflect the ethnic make up of the communities they serve. At least a certain level of effort should be made to obtain this.

Since you say only hire the best, does that mean only men to you? Should only men be hired for fire fighting?

Hiring the best is the end game not quotas . Not sure what’s hard to understand about this …

I'm not sure how much this affected the outcome here, I would imagine not much in the grand scheme of things, but, if you're unable to carry a 250ish pound person on your back, out of harms way, you shouldn't be a fire firefighter. Full stop.

The unfortunate reality is that men and woman are very different, genetically. The sad reality is (most) woman aren't able to do every job to the same standard as men. For example: firefighter.

If there are some beastly gals that can meet those standards, fair play and welcome to the force. Otherwise, when my parents/uncles/cousins house is on fire, I would really prefer if the person responding was physically equipped to save my loved one.

Anyone saying otherwise is lying to themselves and/or brainwashed by political ideology. And I say that as someone who leans more left than right.

In the Trump JRE show, Trump said when he was President, he asked Newsome to sign a bill to resupply California's waterways which was artificially cutoff, and Newsome rejected this.

He was done with or without this. The nation spoke on November 5th, and their words were decidedly against Commiefornia politics.
