Build where shit floods often, expect things to get flooded and washed away

Build where tornadoes destroy shit often, expect shit to get blown apart

Same for Hurricaines and every other natural weather and climate event.

I sympathize for those being effected but there is also the reality of the areas where one lives. Eventually nature wins.

Of course there are preparations that can be made to try and mitigate some of the destruction but it looks like in Cali those steps werent taken as seriously as they should have been. Too bad none of the leaders there will really be held accountable for their part in the failures.

Oh, maybe the Fire Chief will be a sacrifical scapegoat or possibly the mayor's political career will come to a dead end but Gavin is gonna come through shiny, clean and politically secure

Leftists mocked Texas when it was hit by Hurricane Harvey because it's a red state. Leftwing people joked on South Carolina after the damage Hurricane Helene caused. Liberal radiohost Mike Malloy mocked Christians and people in the Bible belt after multiple tornadoes killed 39 people. Daily Show creator and comedian jocked on victims hit by a tornado in Oklahoma because as she said they were conservatives. The left has a long history of loving diasters that hit what they consider right-wing areas.

"Leftists" and you name a few people lol. Here's the difference. Trump and the incoming administration are already threatening to cut off funding to California. The biggest news outlet in America is blaming degeneracy for the wildfires and saying this is God's wrath. Come on man, these two things are not the same. The right is completely unhinged and Trump is more divisive than any president we've had. A couple of people on the radio versus a president and a news outlet thats watched by more people in the USA than any other lol.

Tragic what is happening in California with the fires. I hope the firefighters will be able to tackle the blaze soon, saving many communities.

I think the typical response from Democrats and California is that fires such as this are caused by global warming. I've seen thinking it won't be long will this is mentioned by Gavin Newsom and other Democrats and their partners in the press.

What is sometimes brought up is that in the state of Texas, where temperatures are often quote hot and weather dry, they have fewer fires even though there is more wood lands there. I believe that is the case. Texas has been better at stopping wild fires by having a more proactive policy of removing dry tender brush from their wood lands. It isn't perfect as Texas can still fee wild fires but they have tended to be small and less damaging compared to what is seen in blue California.
