yes... and the California Democrats 100% pushed it. They also follow the same policies throughout the state at every turn.

Democrats are 100% responsible for refusing to mitigate the risks for well over a decade. You'd think they'd learn after the Big Bear / Arrowhead fire years ago.

The winds are greatly down here in O.C. The same goes for up in L.A., but not as good, still good.

I got to see my nephew on the news pointing at his amazing house still not burned atop the hill in Pacific Palisades. Sadly, we think his parents home burned down nearby. My Sister In Law / Brother In Law are at my house right now. They are pretty devastated. They don't know for sure yet.
 
I'm not a firefighter but I've worked at a few wildland fires and I don't think forest management is going to apply to what's going on in Socal right now. These seem to be brush fires and while management can be done in forests, it's really difficult to do in brush areas because they'd basically have to burn tens of thousands of acres every other year.

Also fire management doesn't really apply when you have 70mph winds. Doesn't matter what type of fire breaks you have going on when the embers can fly for miles.

They didn't get out with much. They are quite wealthy, so they can recover financially, but the emotional hit and the loss of everything in your home is pretty terrible. They told me some of their neighbors got dropped by their insurance carriers, but those homes are paid off. That's really going to hurt. They are not in that boat.

Dude, that's nothing. I'm in water treatment construction. We're building two pump stations that have 2 - 15 million gallon tanks each... for a total of 60 million gallons serving Katy, Tx. And these are just the pump stations and not including the several water plants that have their own ground storage tanks... usually 3 to 4 tanks each that are 2-3 million gallons each.

I know of another pump station that we didn't get that's building another 2 - 12 million gallon tanks.

What I'm saying is that it's a complete failure for a region with high fire danger to have only 3 - one million gallon tanks total.

Past lessons learned from their successful Hawaii Wealth Transfer could make this one thrive.

Prop 103 handcuffed the insurers, stopped renewing or writing new fire coverage policies, pre-emptively cancel current polices.

Officials Appear To Be Prepared:​
Have ya eliminated stored water ? Check, barely a drop left.
Defunded Fire Departments ? Check, Yes, made sure they were broke, inadequate, and unprepared.
Insurers protected, no claims to pay ? Check, hopeful they will pay nothing on claims.
