Nope. Democrats shut that down in many areas claiming it hurts the wildlife, when in reality with intake cages there is no danger. That's how they stopped a whole bunch of desalinization plants here in California. They also refused to create a water capture system, we let more than 80% of our rain water flow to the ocean from our cities here in California. The Democrats also turned down a series of aquifers and refuse to clear brush. But, with all that my favorite was the Mayor of L.A. cutting the fire budget by nearly $20M. I wonder where all that $$$$ went?

Newsom blocked trumps policy citing endangered species. I mean, I guess save a few species of save decades long drought and Wild fires.

Plus as I mentioned in other posts in that thread, did they really do this because they want to save a few fish? Or because Northern California would lose a lot of farm money if southern Cali could compete if they managed water more effectively.

I dunno...I've been chatting with a buddy about this for a bit and apparently most pumps are not really suitable for pumping ocean water right away. They get fucked up pretty quickly
