Opinion California on fire

They have water, and they can't fly planes because there are wind gusts to almost 100mph

Yes the wind is absolutely a serious problem. But there is news that they've run out of water or are running low in some areas, and some firefighters are saying there's no water at the pump. I'm guessing the cause is either the supply has been diminished or there's no power to create water pressure because electricity is shut down.

"Reports from local media in California have suggested that Los Angeles could be running low on water, after large resources were dedicated to fighting the fire in Palisades.

The first reports began with Fox11, which reported that the reservoir had not been properly filled ahead of the blaze. One report said that the fire department did not have enough water in the hydrants, with one local real estate developer telling Fox11: "You can't fight a fire without water."

Gavin refused to build reservoirs. He knocked down damns. He allows trillions of gallons to flow out to sea for the Delta Smelt. They DO NO FOREST managent. In the area that is burning they have done no fire mitigation and fuel removal. The fire chief is a female DEI hire. The mayor is in Africa.

I'm in Burbank near Griffith Park. So I've got the Eaton Fire about 8-miles to my east, and the Palisades fire about 15-miles to my west. Never seen it so shitty here. Lost power last night. Sky is black and my street no really passable due to down branches and a few power lines. Air quality sucks too.

Still, I'm away from the actual fires. But the areas that are burning are heavily populated residential areas. This one's gonna be really bad when it's all accounted for.

It's the hydrants that are running out of water, they are run off tanks that are either empty or damaged.

Tragic what is happening in California with the fires. I hope the firefighters will be able to tackle the blaze soon, saving many communities.

I think the typical response from Democrats and California is that fires such as this are caused by global warming. I've seen thinking it won't be long will this is mentioned by Gavin Newsom and other Democrats and their partners in the press.

What is sometimes brought up is that in the state of Texas, where temperatures are often quote hot and weather dry, they have fewer fires even though there is more wood lands there. I believe that is the case. Texas has been better at stopping wild fires by having a more proactive policy of removing dry tender brush from their wood lands. It isn't perfect as Texas can still fee wild fires but they have tended to be small and less damaging compared to what is seen in blue California.

LA’s Fire Department Embraced DEI. And the City Burned.

Right now, I think even the most die-hard woke in LA would take competence over diversity.

I see, so it's one or the other? No middle ground.

So you like Trump's move here and the timing? Somehow he has already figured out the cause mid fire with some flawless logic.
not enough high quality h20 just like momma said

texas doesnt have mountainous areas like cali, it's a lot flatter. Palisades is a hilly area, much of it cannot be built on or it would cost a ton to dig out.

the ocean is right here, an unlimited supply of water, pump that sucker with good old fashion diesel engines

Just add more fluoride.
Ya just send the Mario bros.
not the most elegant solution, but the alternative is not looking good either
The alternative is primarily damage that can be rebuilt or compensated with enough time and money. How do you plan to get salt water our of the water table and avoid a permanent problem?

Not a great area for the wealthiest residences. Getty Estate being protected by Canadian firefighters an Canadian helicopters an firefighting planes. But yeah let's send troops to fight Canadians?
