Cain Velasquez career retrospective, thoughts?

Just for perspective. He was the heavyweight champ of probably the most prestigious HW division ever. Overeem was the lineal SF champ, Dream champ, and pride champ (Fedor>Werdum>Overeem). He would have fought Cain but underestimated Bigfoot and got Ko’d. When Cain mauled Bigfoot the second time it was in a way uniting the Biggest heavyweight titles. I think people forget that Cain fought JDS and Bigfoot 4X because they cleaned out the rest of the division.

Would be legend, hampered by injuries.

He had the best HW Cardio /Volumen

The Werdum fight was doomed cause of the altitude. It was extremely obvious and Werdum predicted it. Werdoom actually came 1 month earlier to Mexico to aclimate.

I plan on doing a similar video for Fedor, Werdum, Francis and Stipe and maybe Igor Vovchanchyn. Any anecdotes or cool shit about these dudes I should mention?

Fedor: GOAT.
Werdum: Cock guy. So cock.
Francis: Ford Escort.
Igor: NHB GOAT.

Oh and Stipe: Something unintelligible.

Overrated as shit.

Very good fighter, but people putting him into the pantheon of heavyweight greats need to look at his resumé again.

All you have to do is watch him fight to put him in the pantheon of heavyweight greats. His resume is mediocre because of shit luck and injuries, but if you watched him fight at his peak it was completely obvious that he was one of the best heavyweights ever.

I will always argue that 2012-2013 Cain Velasquez looked like the best HW in MMA history. His striking, wrestling and relentless pace made him one of most brutal fighters back then. DC has been very vocal about Cain Velasquez getting the better of him in the gym - DC was a double champ. Injuries really derailed this man’s career.

Piece of garbage person and never achieved anything remotely close to what he was hyped as. He is nothing more than a low level champ in a long line of champs at HW.

He was supposed to he the second coming, got annihilated brutally by JDS, Werdum, and Ngannou and only managed to avenge JDS.

Fought the same 2 people for 4 years holding up the division.

Sat out for so long because he was always injured people forgot he was even a thing except when he posted ridiculous meme level training videos.

I have Coleman, Couture, Randleman, Barnett, Sylvia, Mir, Arlovski, Nog, Lesnar, dos Santos, Werdum, Cormier, Miocic, and Jones above him at heavyweight as far as strictly UFC HW champs having greater careers.

That's not how it works. Being an all time great comes from resumé, not "what could have been".

Solid fighter but far away from the best HW of all time crap many try to gift him.

One of the shortest micro careers of any fighter who is put in their categories GOAT list we have ever seen with 8 relevant fights, of which 6 were championship fights, in 4 years against 5 guys of whom nobodies career aged well.

At his best he is really good. He had really good potential to be one of the all time greats. He even improved his skill set as time went on. It is probably the combination of injuries and USADA that did him in. He did come out on top when the crop of HWs were pretty good.

Pretty cool thanks. What are you using to edit? You need to work on some stuff for sure like fading your voice clips in and just simple things. If you're going to put in that much effort and want to keep improving you need better footage. I can help you with a few things, I been doing combat sports highlights since maybe 2002. Check your pm's.

One of the best to ever do it. At his best, he could have beaten any fighter to ever lace em up.
