I don't know what state you live in, but you do realize how populated NY is, and a lot of unsavory people. Im too lazy to look it up, but i bet the amount of people who are charged with illegal carry of firearm per year in NY is through the roof.
All im saying is shootings would be 10x higher in certain states if these laws were not in place.

Disagree, shootings can’t go much higher in NY than what they’ve been. Almost all violent crimes involving guns are carried out by people who cant or don’t legally carry a gun anyway. Inner cities and gang related gun crimes really skew the numbers.
