Cain is the best - deal with it

Age has nothing to do with jo.. See randy c... People's primes are not the same at all. At 30..fedor had 32 wins with 0 real losses by the time he was 31. Also had 11 gold medals in combat sambo. Cain has 12 wins in 10 years... With losses inside that time. I agree chains body was fragile and he was always injured. His competition was in no way harder than Fedors the fights all the way up to Kongo were no bobldys and even then Kongo wasn't really either.
Fedor averaged 3 fights per year over the 10 years win streak, and that's not even including all the sambo matches. How can you even compare them really? It's not even in the same ballpark. If you aren't I pressed with a smaller hw going 10 years without a loss, plus 8 in another combat sports at the same time with no loss I just don't know what would impress you about Cain. He fought 1 time per year if that, and fough several guys multiple times. So of his 12 wins 3 fights vs jds, who was his biggest win.. 2 vs Bigfoot, a zombie fie nog, a pro wrestler.. And a bunch of mediocre guys. Where does the he is great theme come from? At least with Fedor he fought.. And it was never like he chose opponents. He stayed more active that anyone in hw division ever. He beat better guys than Cain even faced, and more of them. Pride had its freaks how matches for sure.. But it's no gimme when u fight a guy over 7 foot weighing 350 lbs.. Thats 120lbs weight advantage not to mention a foot reach advantage.. Who was a k1 champ, so not exactly a can. 120lbs is huge. When he armbarred him he was basically as long with his whole body as hmc arm length. It's not fanboy.. Yes I am a fan, I've been watching mma since the start. I didn't jump a bandwagon, and I don't buy into hype. Fedor didn't need hype, his actions were loud enough. While people were running from a contract to fight him, he stayed active. He fought whoever they put out there against him. And he won, and continued to win until his body had gave up. 10 years at hw will never be broken. That by itself makes him goat, add in the combat sambo 8 year streak w 11 gold medals.. Its just icing on the cake.

100% . Hong Man Choi & Zulu are legit fucking wins. I never understood why people labeled these wins as padded. One wrong move and your getting slept. I would love to see how Cain deals with them

Came here to post that, you SOB !!! :)

There is only one wheel left...and its not a train. Its a wheelbarrow from 2013.

As ya could see, prime Nog was somethin´else, grappling-wise.

JDS has a limited skill set, short prime too.
DC´s body of work @ HW is too thin, and weaker era too.

It is what it is.

The Nog who boxed up Sergei would be live dog or even to DC and JDS imo.

We will never know, but I think he could have become the GOAT. Greatest HW talent ever, imo.

Cain took the belt from Brock when the HW division was at its peak and almost singlehandedly killed the division. Sure was nice to do lucrative wrestling seminars when you were the champ and be 'injured' for years at a time.

Great fighter but shit champ.

Prime cain beats any fighter alive past or present.he could beat jon jones too.imo

MMA fans tend to be such hilarious memes of themselves.

He never was the best and never will be.

Even fucking JDS and Stipe has a better resume, so I don't want to hear it about Fedor. Cain doesnt even belong in the same convo as Fedor.

Cain looked as unbeatable as prime Fedor. When you fight the same two guys over and over I guess you look great beating them. Aside from JDS, who else has he beat? Travis...used to be considered a good win until he started losing every fight. Kongo...not really considered an all time win. Brock...a good win but judged amongst his peers, brocks body of work is hollow. Cain doesn't have the body count to be considered the best. Stipe and DC have long eclipsed him.

He could (would) have been the best if he trained more intelligently and didn't injure himself. All fighters have weaknesses. Cain's weakness was training intelligently and it cost him what could have been a GOAT career.

Right now, I have him below Fedor, Stipe, Werdum, Sylvia, Nog, Cro Cop, Couture, Severn, Coleman, Frye, Barnett, Bas, and Igor.

Cain had a some favorable matchups against JDS and he even managed to lose one.

What is his best win after that? Diverculitis Bork? Old Nog?

Cain is super overrated.

He could have been...as it stands he's a massive case of "what if"

He has not really proven himself. He needs to fight some more top guys before we can tell how good er really is. Lets see how he does in the next few fights.

Until now, I don’t think Cain had a period where he was the best. You always had Werdum that was better. I think Overeem was also better than Cain.

I'd have DC, JDS, Stipe and Werdum ahead of him and that's just guys that are active now

Yeah people act like a guy that outweighs u by 120 lbs or more is no threat. I would love to see gsp take on someone who weighs 300 lbs and see how easy it is. Zulu had a great fighting record in Brazil, and knows how to throw his hands. He definitely has power to spare. Fedor didn't take the easy way out and prey on his lack of grappling, he stood and banfes and knocked him on his ass. The hw division is so much harder to go so long without a defeat. People don't understand for some reason how much more dangerous the division is. Even bones and gsp say it's harder.
