With all Cain's legal stuff going on I decided to binge his UFC fights on fightpass. Honestly before this I probably only saw 2 or 3 of his fights cause I was still new to the sport. But after watching all of his major fights last night I can honestly say cain could have been the greatest ever if his body didn't fall apart. I Don't think I ever seen a heavyweight fighter as relentless as Cain. His conditioning and pace were just unreal for that division and he could just melt guys down no matter how big they were. His fights with JDS were just unreal and that version of Cain beats any HW ever. Kinda sad that he's a footnote now and rarely if ever gets mentioned in goat discussions. But his abilities and performances speak for themselves, at his best he was as good as anyone.

If they only scheduled all of Cain's fights at sea level...

The Cain that ruined JDS is one of the most savage fighters ever. Unfortunately his body couldn’t keep up with those brutal training sessions at AKA and injuries took away a lot of his prime.

Cain's career is a testament to everything a camp could do wrong. He was my least favorite of the big three heavyweight prospects back then, but even then he seemed like his potential was unreal. I don't know anyone who got dropped several times in a fight and still made it look one-sided.

His pace and style would have never lead to a prolonged career as he had to destroy his body in practice to maintain the kind of output that he displayed on fight night

Wrong
Bad genetics

Cain definitely had everything to be the GOAT. His only weakness in a fight was closing the distance recklessly. But he was so fast that very few fighters could capitalize on that.

He wrecked himself in training and also kept DC from getting top HW wins.

He had top skills and put on some amazing performances. We can only wonder what he would have accomplished without chronic injury or these recent legal troubles.
