Cain Banked 450K for 26-sec Disaster

Like I said...

ONE LAST PAYDAY....

THATS ALL HE WANTED.

I imagine Kron must be broke to be fighting for $52,000 (after $25,000 bonus). I hope he can recover from whatever is happening in his life.

Nearly half a million. I don't see Cain retiring anytime soon if he make these kind of pay checks from LOSING.

According to Josh Thomson, Cain got $1 for ever viewer on the first FOX card. So 8.9 million for losing in a minute to JDS. Apparently the UFC has hated ever him since and his last layoff was more a result of negotiating terms with the UFC.

Talent free and ugly Cynthia Calvillo gets 44k base pay at wmma flyweight. Faber is a damn good manager.
Meanwhile Vicente Luque gets 41 base pay
And Courtney Casey even gets 50k with her great great 4:6 ufc record
Miles Jury 36
Andre Fili 37

omfg
If you are tired of being an ugly soccer mum, just start a ufc career and earn 300k a year.

Time to take a timeout from Sherdog, bro. Your douche is showing. Go re-evaluate your life.

Overeem got 860k for his ko loss to Ngannou. He lasted over 100 seconds though so Cain got more per second I guess lol.

That was a well deserved 860k

Guy got nearly decapitated

Closest you will get to a Mortal Kombat fatality in the UFC

i'd be willing to bet they are seriously reluctant to have him as a main event again from this point forward.

Damn when you say it like that it’s almost like Cain just hustled the UFC lol.

He did, Cain is a Broken glass, anybody that says otherwise is delusional. He probably told ufc he was healthy enough lol. First punch landed he goes full van damme split

As much as a disaster that fight was, he deserves every penny for what he's put his body through. The way things are going, he'll be walking like a 70 year old by the time he retires. He better be well taken care of by the time he's done.
If he has any sense he would stop now. I have a neighbor who used to play for the NFL. A lineman. He milkedd his career in the late 80s, early 90s because players started to get paid much more than they ever were paid before. More sponsorship etc. When he should have retired because of injuries. Then he worked as a scouting agent. Had he have retired earlier he wouldnt be getting around with a mobility scooter or walker and the dude has a opiate PUMP! Because of the excruciating pain he's constantly in. Dude is barely 60 years old. Cain needs to give it up, get into coaching or get involved in some aspect of mma to make a living now. Or he will be known as Cane Velasquez. As in walking cane. Cain has destroyed his body in hopes of becoming the best. Which he was, very briefly.

Are you sick in your head or something man?

Barberena is only at 35k??!!

Dude has how many fights in the UFC? Over some relatively big names too!

Calvillo made $88k? Holy fuck Wmma is a fucking trap. No talent, the fights suck, and you have to overpay? Why do these promotions even bother smh

Despite a quick TKO loss to onetime title challenger Francis Ngannou, ex-heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez banked the biggest payout at UFC on ESPN 1.

Velasquez (14-3 MMA, 12-3 UFC) earned a flat $450,000 for 26 seconds of work according to salaries released by the Arizona Department of Gaming Boxing and MMA Commission, which regulated the event Sunday at Talking Stick Arena in Phoenix.

MMAjunkie requested and today received a copy of the payouts for the fight card, which aired live on ESPN and ESPN+.

Ngannou (13-3 MMA, 8-2 UFC), who said his punches stopped Velasquez after the ex-champ claimed a knee injury halted the fight, took home $220,000 for his second straight win since an unsuccessful bid for the heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic.

The total disclosed payroll for the event was $1,871,000.

I was just about to say that he should donate all the money to charity, than i read this comment and realized that your right. He gave his body to this sport and will have to deal with all these injuries for the rest of his life. You're right

There are guys making $12,000 on a nationally televised card on ESPN.
