See you next week.
True. We really don't have any good Conor/Chael sort of fighter. I could tell you the face of the UFC since Chuck Lidell, but there's really no one. Alex Pereira is kind of it, but there's a real language barrier and personality side that is keeping him away from that, despite performing like a superstar.
Hey I just hope you keep your eye for UFC, loved all your breakdowns of newer fighters even when they are from eastern Europe. There's a FLW not in the UFC yet called Bilal Hasan that is just like Bruce Lee and he's only 24, there's a few potential great fighters to sign over that aren't from those typical regions.
UFC is paying the price right now for opening up the gate up because Russians are so dominant, but as a fight fan I do want to see the best become champ, not keep potential better opponents out. It says alot that when they announced the Whitehouse card I had to scratch my head and think hard of who from the US can even represent the card to stack it. It really shouldn't be this difficult for the UFC to get some good American talent again, every year there are D1 stars that could be the next champion if they throw enough to sway them over. I don't understand it because American wrestlers used to pour over when money was even worse.
OP expresses what I've been feeling for a year or two. The War Room might as well be called the Woke Room now, and this forum's being turned into War Room Part Deux more and more by the week it seems. Mods are convinced that I'm a "race-baiter" somehow, and I've been put on a "watch list"Like so many other sites lately, the no politics rule that was suddenly instituted in '23 for...reasons never seems to apply to anybody from a certain side ever. I've made sure not to burn any bridges, and I know better than to make any melodramatic farewell post but I've lost interest in this place and when I leave I'll just...leave. If I wanted to join Reddit or Bluesky then I would've joined Reddit or Bluesky. I'm 52 and I have many other interests, I know my life will go on if I don't post here again. Right now I'm at a point where others will need to convince me why I should.

That's why you are one of my favorites on here, you always are a good laugh and have such a good energy, always positive and easy going. Your videos had me laughing for hoursI come on here to share a laugh and try to have fun. I don't get involved in political discussions ever. As far as the mods go i dont have issues with them because I try to post positive things. Its a good place to be if you follow a few guidelines. Hope TS stays in the end.
I mean, i just dragged the forum address into my hotbar so i click on that to go straight to the forums. like just drag this up into the browser tab thing above. or ur shortcut tab or however u have it setup. https://forums.sherdog.com/forums/ufc-discussion.2/I'd like to know more about this shortcut thing. Me too never get involved in any politics and I virtually know nothing about politics lol, I have no clue whats going on, seems silly to me the fighting. The only social sites I use are sherdog and instagram, and all I follow are some MMA fighters that I love like Dan Severn, Shogun, GSP and the rest are Cat accounts, funny cat videos and some famous cats that I love. Other than that everything else is boring to me. Just come for fun and enjoy your time. You are so blessed @Sensee
Haha very true, I couldn't have said it any better myself, totally agreePolitics are pretty simple from what i learned based on southpark. You're either a giant doosh or a turd sandwich supporter. Or u don't do politics and have a chance at being a decent human being.
Thank you! You are regularly featured in the videos because Six and I love your posts. You are one of the people that make this place fun and one of our favorites. There's actually quite a few cool people on here. I avoid the drama as much as possible. I had enough of that when I was younger. That's why you are one of my favorites on here, you always are a good laugh and have such a good energy, always positive and easy going. On a side note have you seen the cougar Kai cat videos? If not I'll send you the link. They are hilarious and right up your alley!
I'm guessing that wrestling doesn't offer much beyond coaching pay, then high level wrestler get to continue another 10+ years. I wouldn't say Gable Stevenson is fighting regionals for the 1k or whatever they give him, but he's doing it for a long term investment when he hits the UFC and is almost an instant lock to top 5.D1 wrestlers are too late to the game, thats the truth. These guys who started wrestling as children and then branch out into boxing, kickboxing, Sambo, hand to hand combat, pankration etc etc. Even attend highschools focused on combat sports/martial arts and ontop of that middle class income in their country is 700 USD a month, where in the USD its more like 5000-7000 USD a month..UFC doesn't pay enough to create a culture of combat athletes the way Brazil and Russia do.
D1 wrestlers who aren't cross training or competing before 22/23yo are going to struggle to have a good crossover into MMA at a high level. Look at Bo and Rinya who did try the international scene first, Rinya beat a few Olympic medalists and worlds medalists, Bo beat some Asian Games, Russian and Worlds medalists too. But they came to MMA around 24-25 and it was already kinda too late. Not enough experience nor time for proper development. You gotta be competing at 14-18yo in MMA now, thats why I say US prospects are consistently 5 years behind these days, they are getting way later starts. Also why would a D1 wrestler with a degree from a major university go do MMA on the regional scene for 1k to show when he can enter the work force and make 80-100k? Or probably make more just continuing to wrestle. And even if he spends 3-4 years building his record and experience, he will sign to the UFC for 20k/20k at 25-27yo and likely not amount to a ton because the guys at the top will have been doing this shit for 10 years longer than them at that point. Its a tough position...a lot of US gyms I go into these days are filled with more and more non US fighters, we have the best facilities and not good talent relative to what exists globally.
You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave.
Thats such a weird line, we're all gonna die. I mean "you can never leave?" How do you know? Are you the arbiter of the afterlife? We're all just going to hang around forever in this same place? That's highly fucking doubtful. It can't be proven. And yet they say it with so much zeal and fervor. I just don't buy it. I think we CAN leave. As well as check out. And besides, it's not like we have to check in and check out. I just show up and like, bam, I'm here. So yeah, I don't buy into any of that shit, sounds like something they said because it sounds cool. Cool solo though. Everyone loves that solo. It really rips. All the same, it's a pretty great song. And for that, we can forever be grateful. RIP Bobby, you will be missed.
