bullshit thread wasteland

Even if he made 10% of sales, still 100mill
Haters are going to laugh at that number, claiming that Mayweather would have made 3-4 as much or some crap like that.

The margin for the distillery should be 40-50% on that type of alcohol, possibly more considering the volume (large revenue). Conor must of made at least $200 mln which is insane for the first year. From there on the production and marketing costs will only go down. They can also produce more expensive whiskey and even limited collection releases.

Jameson is trash

The excuse you made for them will be available for proper 12 in a few years when they inevitably expand as well

Hahahaha — proper 12 is going wash away just like Conor’s career in the next 1-2 years

Smirnoff is probably the worst vodka on the market — look how it’s doing sales wise

Your comparing a brand marketed and distributed by one of the largest companies in the business who’s been doing this for over 100 years v a guy that used his fame to try to sell crap whisky while it’s at its peak

Didn't read after first sentence

Don't care to speak with hopeless haters

Just keep an eye on it and you'll find out you're wrong in time

Not a “hopeless hater” — I wish Conor all
The best

I even bought the product hoping it was half way decent — it wasn’t — it was trash — and I was not pleased

Good for Conor, he is listed as the founder, chairman and majority owner of the company. I wonder what his deal is with distributors worldwide; Eire Born Spirits and Proximo Spirits, they all take a cut. Last month's story was that Irish whiskey sales had surpassed $1B in the United States, in part thanks to Proper Twelve (Amongst many other Whiskey makers) So if Conor is referring to $1B in sales from Proper Twelve ALONE internationally then that is pretty damn amazing for one single brand. After costs and expenses I wonder what his profits would be, but he is definitely doing the best as he is the majority owner of that particular brand.

After paying employees, vendors, taxes, rent, water, power, etc. He did not make $1 billion in profit. The page said sales.
No one said he made one billion in profit dumb fuck. The article clearly says SALES. He'll probably take home 100 or 200M.

no, he wont, because proper 12's total sales were only $95m

and thats at retail. the shops will take 10-15% of that, take of shipping, marketing, and production costs.

If Proper 12 made $10m profit for its first year I would be astounded.

2018 was the first year for Irish whiskey sales to hit $1billion.
As of April of 2019, Irish whiskey sales already reached $1billion. Why do you think that is?

NO. they have not done 1bn in the first four months of 2019.. lol..

heres the original article that has the numbers.

the 1 billion was for 2018 total

They have not done 1 billion already in 2019

because proper 12 did about $40m in the US, which pushed Irish whiskey over the 1bn for the first time

Not because proper 12 did close to 1bn

Its already been confirmed by McGregor that they only did 200,000 cases worldwide. Thats $96m retail. worldwide.

If Proper 12 only did 200,000 cases in 2018, you really think they have sold over 2 million cases in the first four months of 2019?

I know what you’re saying they sold their whole annual inventory within a few months, which is pretty incredible.

No, he didnt. That article is shite.

What actually happened was COMBINED IRISH WHISKEY SALES IN THE US HIT $1 Bn FOR THE FIRST TIME

Proper 12 did about $40 million apparently..

^^^^This.. The article is misleading.

they sold 200,000 cases in 2018, that had a retail value of $96,000,000

You really think they have sold 2 million cases in the first four months of this year?

Who said 2million?

The whiskey, a blend of single malt and golden grain, sold out its consignment of 200,000 cases that sells for about $29.99 a bottle in New York — in a matter of days, rather than the six months originally allotted.
