i always mute the tv during his introductions for big fights. The screaming is obnoxious. His fist bumping the fighters is obnoxious. Getting in their faces is incredibly obnoxious.

For many years I though the Pride ring announcer was a psychotic Japanese lady. Hate buffer screaming, always loved her screaming though. I think it’s because there was no emphasis on her but I feel like Buffer is desperate to take spotlight away from the fighters as much as he can.

She doesnt have the same job as buffer at all. She doesnt appear on camera,and only says stuff when they are on their way to the ring.

Buffer is doing what he's doing to hype the crowd,and wow it works,every single fuckin time. IMAGINE THAT

I started doing the same thing about a year ago.
 
He was never going to be as good as his brother so a combination of using retarded amounts of energy instead of having talent, class and actually having a good voice (plus getting lucky that the UFC actually became a thing) allowed him to become famous himself, the guy is very smart.

Bro why does he need to have "class". He announced a show where dudes fight in a cage,w Nu metal musiv blaring in the intro. He got famous because people like him and the job he's doing. He never tried to copy his brother,he did his own thing completley. His talent is his connection w the crowd which is unique in the world of combat sports.

It's just that people compared him with his bro and his bro oozed with it, not saying he needs it, god knows no other announcer goes for that james bond look Michael goes for, fucking David Diamante looks like a clown.......... CLOWN!

Well people are being unfair to Bruce by always comparing him to Michael. Bruce started out w UFC when it was basically a niche sport,and over time developed his own style that the crowd TODAY Still loves and keeps wanting him to do. He never phones it in. Dude is in the trenches. I love that about him. He loves this shit.

I wasn't criticizing the guy, if anything I was giving him props for getting to where he got with the tools he had at his disposal.

As much as I don't like his style, I've got to admit this is true. You get so many bros in the crowd imitating him during live events so I can't argue that he get's the crowd hyped.
 
You have got to witness Buffer doing a main event introduction live to really get the full effect. It will give you goosebumps.
