When couture first came back from retirement he gave him the accolades he was sayin HE IS COMING BACK FROM RETIREMENT TO GO TO WAR AGAIN. The crowd went fuckin mental.

Just announce the fighters names as they are walking out. Why do we need a 5 minute walkout, and a 5 minute introduction for every single fighter? The fights themselves are only 15 minutes.

Obviously you can pump more ad revenue in that time, but cards are like 7 hours long, it’s absurd.

Buffer tries to turn it into the Bruce Buffer Show. Drags out intros way too long, screams at the top of his lungs, jumps around like a maniac, always does his switcheroo shenanigans for decisions, looks like he has a steroid/tanning bed addiction. He clearly gets off on it, has a massive ego, and is overpaid. Dude gets more money per event than half the fighters.

If the audience and fighters need Buffer to get excited, then, as Dana would put it “you’re in the wrong sport”.

The dont need Buffer to get excited,dummy. He gets them even MORE excited. He's got a crowd out there and hes firing them up,and believe me they WANNA be fired up. The fighters also love that shit,but he asks them ahead of time,if they are into it or not,cos everyone has different reactions. So its not JUST ABOUT HIM. He does it for the guys who want it.

The UFC knows they hit gold when they got The Buff,dude is just as excited as anyone else in that arena,and that energy is infectious and that cant be bought. You either got that shit or you dont,and the Buff has got it. I appreciate the dude drags out the intros,cos what is more important than the main event of an MMA card,the greatest sport in the world? Im glad he jumps around like a maniac,cos that dude loves the game that much,I love that he has a massive ego,cos that makes for great ring announcing,and there is no way to over pay a guy who does that. They cant write enough checks for him. He's been putting in work there for nearly 30 yrs, he SHOULD get paid more than half the fighters for time served and work put in.

Buff intros must be among the lowest down items of my list of things about the UFC that are shit and need changing - honestly do not understand the recent wave of hate for the guy.

Watch any boxing card and its clear the UFC's production/presentaiton is still lightyears ahead and Buff's intros are a part of that.
 
Im a big fan of his he really gets the hype going for a big fight, one of the best parts of the live ufc experience.

That being said does anybody have the gif of him tearing his acl doing a jumping 360 for an introduction lol

He has become a caricature of himself but is undoubtedly a personality, able to rev the crowd up and “iconic” in his pre-fight antics, so IMO definitely an asset for the UFC and I absolutely don’t understand the hate.

Brotheh Buffeh literally injured himself in teh octogon doing his 360 maneuver during teh "it's time" announcement... so lets keep some respect on teh man. Also, how teh fook do you yell like that for a living. I'm to understand all teh poos he eats supplies a protective coating over his vocal chordz...?
