It’s essentially simulated fight to the death, injuries will occur. But your post just made me think, most of the successful ones do leave this sport broken. Conor, Anderson, Bispings. Only one I can think of GSP & Khabib seems to be the ones who are unscathed.

there are distinctions to make. In this case he was cut, But bader for example was removed from roster because he didn't resign.

Gsp tore his ACL twice, and Khabib was out for two years with injuries that almost ended his career. It's amazing they could overcome that.
