Die Hard doesn't work without him, or Rickman. Yeah, the movie is really dated because of technology (one cellphone and the whole movie doesn't work) and how society has changed (I remember seeing smoking in airports), but it's still an all-time classic.

Solid 8, he’s a good actor, but he’s no serious thespian.

You don’t think Theo would figure out how to shut down cell service in that building?! They didn’t bring him along for his charming personality

Everyone wanted Mel Gibson but he said no for Leathal Weapon . Richard Gere was who studio wanted after that. But director wanted to give Bruce a shot.

Everybody turned down the role including Frank Sinatra, Clint Eastwood, Paul Newman, Arnold and Sly, Harrison Ford.....the list goes on.

I know but Mel was who they really wanted but I think he had a conflict.

Either way it was god that a another good action Star was born in Bruce

No....it wasn't.

"contractually obligated to offer the lead role to the then 70-year-old Sinatra. Unsurprisingly, Sinatra turned the role down"

"the first actor to be courted for the role was Arnold Schwarzenegger"

The next actor to refuse the role was Mel Gibson

By contract it had to go to Sinatra first and then they wanted Arnold and then they wanted Mel.
