Brock Lesnar To Fight Bob Sapp

The guy has no MMA training except for college wrestling and fake wrestling but everyone is jumping on his nuts because of his size. Next thing you know, Rey Mesterio will start fighting MMA and everyone will pick him to beat BJ Penn.

Hes actually been working with a few different camps for over a year now.....

Do people forget exactly how good of a wrestler Lesnar is?? I certainly don't see it being a cakewalk for Bob although I wouldn't make any sort of prediction on the outcome.

I see Sapp losing this one by GNP....or Lay N Pray if Lesner hasn't learned striking. Sapp could win the stand up but this guy is a wrestler....he is going to take Sapp down and hold him there.

That's what I was thinking. Even though Sapp telegraphs every punch, those giant ham hocks are too dangerous for a guy w/out boxing skills (Morrison on the other hand would eat the big man alive). Brock will undoubtedly take this to the ground where we could have a replay of Sapp/Fujita. Either way, it will be fun to watch.

If it stays on the feet Lesnar should be a dead man, but for some reason I see Lesnar being so much more explosive and fast then Sapp that he will get the take down right away and controll him on the ground. May sound weird, but Brock by tko due to unanswered strikes from the mount.

Bob Sapp is kind of a big oaf, and I think Lesnar has more atheltic ability and alot more potential. Hes 'supposed' to be very good on the ground, so he'll have a foot up on Sapp. Sapp has strength, but I dont think hes ever fought someone who was just as strong as him so it should be interesting.
I can see bombs dropping like crazy. Maybe an early gas-out

People complains when Pride and K-1 have "freakshows" involving fighters like Ogawa, Giant Silva, the The Hawt One, or Akebono. Yet, for obvious reasons, they dont seem to mind Lesnar vs Sapp.

Maybe people will now undertand why those fights appealed to the japanese fans.

Lesnar is a legitimate MMA competitor now, I pick him to win. I don't pick him to hold the UFC HW title this time next year, but I do think he's got a lot of ability.
